Japanese Style
We chose this hotel as it was styled in a Japanese theme and was a change from the usual chain brands which we stay. We really enjoyed the breakfast which was prepared fresh daily and also western options. The location was conveniently located just a short walk from the subway and we really enjoyed the food in the area.
The place is compact and has everything you need - we used the kitchen to cook our breakfast and the washer to wash our clothes. Everything is super clean and the Japanese tatami room. Futons are comfortable to sleep. There is air conditioning on both floors. The location is perfect not far from Kyoto station and steps away from Aeon mall with a few good chain restaurants but also there are some good small independent restaurants in the neighborhood. The staff replied fast to hour inquiries.
This is my second time with the hotel chain and it definitely didnt disappoint. I was travelling with a pre-teen and teenager, and they were stoked with the onsen, free ramen for supper, and complimentary ice cream. The family room was spacious, with an additional TV lounge area where we could sit and enjoy. The breakfast spread was amazing! There was local japanese selection and international spread as well. The food assortment and layout suited the number of occupants at the hotel. I would definitely stay in the hotel again.
The basic business hotel chain is always convenient with all amenities and basic breakfast. The twin room was bigger than we had come to expect in Japanese hotels. It was clean. The location was quite good, close to Omiya station (with direct link to Osaka) and a lot of bus lines.
The APA hotel chain is quite standard across the country so I already knew what to expect, which is something I appreciate. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, fuss-free check-in. Also, I like that the beds are raised, allowing for luggage space.
Wasn’t expecting but everything was excellent and beyond! The staff were amazing! The onsen was pretty good for a chain hotel in the middle of Kyoto. The rooms were very spacious for Japanese standards. And a total surprise was the fact the there were free drinks and small bites all day! Including wines and champagne!
Very conveniently located near the train station, although a good 20 min walk from the more "lively" neighborhood in the city. Room is standard APA hotels, which is quite good and functional for Japan. Breakfast was quite good, traditional Japanese style.
nice little garden in front the restaurant in 1F (which is a chain) is quite good and affordable. when you dont know where to eat, can go there and also pick a table next to the window so you can enjoy the view of the little japanese style garden
I've stayed with the APA Hotel chain in Japan many times. Always first class service and comfy rooms
