I arrived at Porto Platanias Beach Resort & Spa on the 1st day of the season. The staff were so kind and welcoming, everyone was smiling and helpful. The hotel is huge, there are a lot of buildings and swimming-pools, but it's easy to find your way around. I spent an amazing time in the Sparkling Spa, the whole facility is divine, especially the pool and the hydromassage. Dinner was served on the 1st floor of the restaurant with a beautiful view over the hotel's beach and Theodorou Island. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet, the meals were delicious, especially the salads and deserts. ( I loved the orange cream! ) They offered Greek specialities, too. I got some Easter presents: "tsoureki" ( milkbread ) and Easter candles. This was a really nice touch. All in all, the hotel is great, but the kind and attentive staff make it even greater. I loved my short holiday at Porto Platanias and will definitely return.

Calm, excellent area around the hotel lets your mind relax from the noise of the outside world. The staff is incredibly happy to help with any request. We've spent our 4th anniversary here and enjoyed every moment - from great coffee and wide selection of fresh food at the buffet, to Greek musicians in the evening playing calm, local music. You can walk around in flip flops or barefoot and enjoy the warm weather climate and the tranquility surrounding the property. Perfect escape (also for young adults just like us) for those who aren't into late partying and prefer early, calm mornings with calming sounds of the waves in the background. What's more, the owner of the hotel was there during our stay and he individually made sure with every guest in the morning that everything was fine during their stay. That's the extra touch that we appreciated much and never encountered at any other 5star hotel. The staff is one big family and you can sense that in the air. We've had an excellent stay. Highly recommend to couples in need of a calm and relaxing time off for themselves

Loved it! Hotel was a good size with two pools, two bars/restaurants and it’s right on the beach, as well as being very close to bars, restaurants and shops and a few mini golf/arcade type places. Staff were all lovely and our room was clean with a big balcony overlooking the hotel and the beach. We did all inclusive and the food was amazing with so much choice. Drinks choices were great too, especially liked being able to help yourself to wine, beer and soft drinks. We’ll definitely be staying here if we come back to Crete.

We had a bungalow with a pool which backed onto a small olive grove and it was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful if we ever required assistance. The food offer was excellent and the quality was high. We’d go back in a flash.

We had a great stay at Santa Marina. The staff were super friendly and welcoming! The hotel is right in front of a beautiful sandy beach with sun beds available. One of the bars is right by the beach to enjoy some drinks without leaving your spot.
