Firstly please update your pictures on the website cause the please does not look as beautiful as it is on the site. The room was spacious the appliances were actually working and we didn't get cold thanks to that heater and we got chargeable lights when the power was about to cut, a very helpful and friendly staff member he was the best (unfortunately forgot his name) overall my stay there was worth every second

Driving in town but is terrible...roads are very bad.
I enjoyed staying at the Cannon.lodge though..
This lodge is classy,the room was very clean and water from shower very hot, towels very very clean.

I Lived there for 18 years and had wonderfull childhood...
I Lived there for 18 years and had wonderfull childhood memories, but now the roads are very bad and basically offer you only 1 option to travel there and that is via Standerton, ant mostly with a SUV due to the amount of potholes on the road, that is not getting fixed....
Wonderfull town for any historian!!!

Newcastle is a very quiet town but has humoungous potholes on almost every road, which is an inconvenience if you're travelling with a small car. But its absolutely serene with scenic mountain views
