Set in Isando, 20 km from Johannesburg, City Lodge Hotel at OR Tambo International Airport boasts an outdoor pool and fitness centre. Every room has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The location is perfect since it is within walking distance to the airport terminals. When I checked in, the receptionist was very polite, cheerful and welcoming. I was pleased to be given a room with the most beautiful views of Johannesburg just as I had requested prior to my arrival. The room was excellent and had everything an international traveler would need (including different types of sockets to charge mobile phones or shaving machines). When I checked out, I was pleasantly surprised and grateful that one of the hotel staff (a young porter) carried my luggage and walked with me to Terminal B. A truly wonderful experience!

Southern Sun offers luxury rooms with a contemporary design. It features an outdoor pool, bar area and a buffet restaurant called Bernoulli’s. Everything was excellent apart from check in. they could improve on this very issue. more staff when there are long queues
