This place is incredible. We had elephants around the lodge every day and the safaris were outstanding. We managed to see 4 of the Big Five in just two nights, plus wild dogs, cheetahs, and much more. Absolutely recommended!

Amazing place. The tents are very comfortable and tastefully furnished and decorated. The common areas too. It was a pleasure to come back for a hot drink there after a safari. We stayed 2 days and the elephants came twice to drink at the waterhole. The staff were so kind. The guides were awesome. Gave us unforgettable memories of dozens of beautiful animals and lots of interesting facts and real/life stories. The food - meals and breakfasts - delicious. We loved everything. Everything was very clean, both the tents and the common areas.

The breakfasts were excellent as well as the lunches and dinners. The game drives were spectacular. We saw the Big 5 continually. Bongoni, our tracker and Mark, our driver were terrific. One morning they tracked a leopard for a couple of kilometres and found him.

Amazing tents, super comfortable beds and we absolutely loved the outdoor shower(s)! Staff is super friendly! The chef cooked an extra meal for me because of my lactose intolerance, thank you so much for that! By the way the food was delicious! The way to get to the the camp is a bit of an experience with a small car but still possible. You will receive a warm welcome! We didn't expect a room service on our departure day.

had to go to Buffelshoek Camp because of Cyclone Freddy, very nice Lodge, very good food (but to much 😁), abolutely amazing game drives, could see Big Five in 4 Gamedrives, even a Leopard couple as well as Zebras, Hippos and Gnus were able to see Elephants, Giraffe and a Hyena directly at the camp was kind of familiar there, would definitely come again👌🏿👌🏿 a big thank you to Lynn, Dudley and the whole team!

Sabi game reserve is quite big with many private lodges...

Sabi game reserve is quite big with many private lodges inside. It is open to Kruger park, so animals are free to roam anywhere. The difference is that the ranger and tracker can actually follow an animal wherever they go (without entering Kruger). It is expensive , but if you can afford it, the experience is quite different. The ranger and tracker that took us for a drive from Umkumbe were great. The ranger spotted a chameleon on the tree, in the dark, under the light beam from the trackers torch, at a distance of about 25m. We have no clue how! Great experience to be able to go offroad in the vehicle and get really close to the animals. A leopard had hidden their kill in the tree, which we went back to after dark, when the leopard had come back. Unfortunately that was the only cat we saw that night. Saw a hippo and a hyena too, but that's just luck when you are out in the bush. A family on the previous night had seen the leopard kill the buck as well. The private Sabi game drive is expensive, and depending on how lucky you get, you might think it is either worth it/or a waste of money.

Quite a nice destination for international travelers and younger people who want to have a bush experience. For 77 year old South Africans we found the facilities not so user friendly at the Wild Olive Tree Camp. Did not really get to see much of Manyeleti but did have some good elephant sitings. In general game viewing was a bit disappointing but that is the luck of the draw.

Concession is great!

Concession is great! Roads are well looked after and there are a lot of signs guiding drivers into the lodges. We stayed at Imbali Safari Lodge in Mluwati and it was an unreal experience, everything was just incredible! We got to see many animals near our lodge and during the safaris, including 4 ou the Big Five. Can't wait to be back, it is an amazing place!

I paid 5,700 Rand for 3 evening drives in the reserve each lasting around 3 hours. I've been on many a game drive in the area over the years and when game spotting I am optimistic and realistic at the same time. I saw a 3 lions and a leopard along with other animals. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate my overall experience as 6. If I were to travel to the area in the future I would book 1 drive and concentrate my game viewing in Kruger Park.

I’d like to call out some of the names who were extremely personable and fantastic!! I won’t be able to call out all of the names, but every single staff member was great! The drivers - Moshe, Suit Boy, and especially Victor. Victor was our driver on most days The lodge manager - Ben. Who worked long shifts, always was checking in with us at least 3 times a day, and also loaned us his personal outlet adapter. The butlers - Louis, Ronald, Silence, Jan, Canwell. Please tell them all how how much I appreciated their kindness and have the utmost respect for what they do.

I have never seen so many leopards on a safari before. We had a wonderful view of a watering hole from our lodging. There are many places to stay with different options for price and ambience. Was a magical stay

We loved the wildness of Manyeleti, and felt much closer to nature here than at Kruger. I feel that people are unaware of the real impact on the nature of things like synthetic soaps and compost toilets should be mandatory. However Manyeleti is better than Kruger in this respect.
