Where to begin?! Staying at the Frontier Hostel should be a no brainer for anyone stopping in Dien Bien. The hostel is fantastic, comfortable and clean- but it’s the people that make the place! Greg and Són, and the whole team make this a special place to spend some time. We also ended up doing a tour which was phenomenal from start to finish. All I can say is that if Dien Bien ever crosses your mind as a place to go- Frontier hostel can be chosen eyes closed as it is a gem!

The lovely woman who runs this guesthouse might just be the hardest working woman in all of Vietnam. She does everything she can to help each and every one of her guests, from arrange buses, motorbike rentals, connecting you to trekking tours and even helping with currency exchange. She and her husband also own the restaurant right beside the guesthouse and will prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for you if you like. All the food freshly made and is a good as any in Dien Bien Phu. As for the guesthouse, it's more like a budget hotel but quite sufficient and clean. If you choose to eat at their restaurant it will feel more like an extension of the guesthouse. Lovely place and people.

The room was excellent, big and well appointed. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. I used the gym and there was a pool upstairs. The breakfast buffet was good and had a variety of fresh food.

9.5/10. Really really recommendable! The family was really kind and nice, really smiley and helpful The room was very big, clean, beds the most comfortable in vietnam, fridge, good bathroom really spacious as well, hot shower… everything! The quality price really good, probably one of the bests in dien bien phu.

Spacious rooms with balcony. Clean and nice beds. Location is very central. Helpful staff as I had to send package by post and they assisted with this.
