It was very clean, the staff were excellent, and the water pressure was to *die* for. Our room had a fridge, stove, dishwasher, and a garbage disposal—we didn’t use any of them., but we thought it was cool. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing we struggled with was the thermostat, and I think that was mostly us being dumb. We figured it out in the end!

The place was very nice. 199.00 was my bill for the night plus tax. Then they add 50.00 because there was a bar which made no sense to me, which you do get back when you check out.I felt that was a high price for what you get. The pool was very small it was alittle crowded at one point when we were there and it was late around 8:30 pm. No continental breakfast. The dry bar should be included, too many different prices just for breakfast. Theres a dry bar breakfast, a warm breakfast AND a sit and order a real breakfast ,all differenr prices. We just got in from a 9 hour drive, we looked rough I'm sure , but I felt like the 2 people at the desk looked down on us and spoke to me in a snobby way. I thought I paid on line being I entered all my credit card info, when I got there she said i owed money. I just thought it could of been explained alittle differently. Definitely will not be saying here anymore. Unfriendly and expensive for what you get.

I enjoyed the Old Town section with interesting shops and restaurants, the visitor center had helpful staff and information, right next to the historic Abrams delight home. The museum of the Shenandoah looked great and I wish I had time to check it out, But I did walk the trails around it and appreciated the woods and meadows as well as the clever play areas for kids, The setting for the museum was well planned, surrounded by hills and pasture (with cows), maintaining a sense of what the land was like years ago, Many historic buildings it this charming town.

Saw outside of Patsy Cline house, and Stonewall Jackson Headquarters. Visited 3rd Battle of Winchester. Review of places to eat had Bonnie Blue one of tops - we had a delicious lunch there. Historic Downtown was on incline/decline - not for a (manual) wheelchair dependent - which is where the Civil War Shenandoah Valley Museum is located. Other than not see it, had a fun time at Winchester.

Good amenities, quiet area, there to visit family, so didn’t do a lot else. Easy access to I-81. We had good takeout from “Asian Restaurant”, Staff at Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts were friendly and efficient.

Winchester is a lovely town, full of history and charm. Allow plenty of time for just walking around, to say nothing of the great shops in the historic district.
Two restaurants are not to be missed: Violini and Antica Trattoria!

I was driving to Mexico from NYC with my dog and 2 cats when my dog incurred a spinal injury that necessitated our stopping the drive.
The four of us grew so comfortable that I was reluctant to leave the hotel. I love hotel living, did it for most of my 20's so I feel right at home in a hotel.
The community spirit at this hotel, however, really made me feel at home. Everyone was so warm and kind, offering to help with my dog. It was amazing. I just loved being there and am so thankful they helped me when we were in a really tight spot.
