It is so sad that the Internet and websites like Booking .com have taken over your ability to find accomodations from real people and good old fashioned ways of getting a good room to enjoy. They are passing off these dumps and charging outrageous nightly fees for their greedy ploys

Stateline is undergoing a huge transformation.
Stateline is undergoing a huge transformation. Harveys is being re-branded with a ton of construction. Inside was seriously a shell of itself. Golden Nugget is also under construction and remodel. The whole area just felt run down. Not the Stateline we remembered from years past. I am sure it will improve once construction ends, but at this time it is a work in progress.

South Lake Tahoe is an amazing place to see and visit. The beaches and the lake are stunning. The food scene is good and there are many activities to partake in during your stay. A 10 out of 10 for sheer beauty and nature.

.=Tahoe is beautiful and I enjoyed the Gondola ride. Please note it does not run year round and you need to check the Heavenly Valley website for the schedule. There are lots of opportunities to check out the lake from an air balloon, on one of the many cruises or more active things like paddle boarding or jet skis. Stateline also has the casinos and some good restaurants, I dined at Gordon Ramseys Hells Kitchen and it was very good. It is not a cheap dinner but most are not these days and the food was exceptional especially the Sea Bass and the not to miss Toffee pudding.

The amenity fee is a rip off, no towels at the pool and cold hot tubs. Valet services is also a rip off. They force you to use the valet and you have to wait a long time for drop off and pickup, ineffective. Not the fault of the valets, they appeared to do their best.

Stateline is perfect if you stay a mile or 2 up Kingsbury...
Stateline is perfect if you stay a mile or 2 up Kingsbury grade road. Any farther up the road and its a hassle to get into town, especially in the winter. Its a short drive into the bustling casino heavenly shopping district, just know parking is expensive- but most casinos will comp parking for gambling or arcade time. Lastly, Nevada beach is a good spot to take the family and there is a grocery store for snacks, right before you head down to the beach.

We loved everything about this place. it was warm, welcoming and the staff were very friendly. The decor of the room and the hotel overall was very attractive and super cozy. Great location with free parking. Very clean and comfortable room. 7 min walk to the beach of Lake Tahoe. As a bonus, the hotel provides a 50% discount on the price of a beach ticket (beach price is $30). A great place to enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe. The beach is not very cheap, but it is a pleasure to be by the lake in a clean and comfortable place.
