I loved all the staff, starting when we arrived. The valet service was friendly and help with our bags, always one step ahead in providing assistance. I have to use a wheel chair, they help my wife take it down from the truck, very helpful.
The staff in the registration desk, also very accommodating, since we arrived earlier then the checking in time, they allowed to check in to the room, since it was my 1st visit, I did not pay any extra fees Cheyenne was very helpful and very concerned and made us feel very important. I thank all the of the staff at Chumash Hotel and resort.

The most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. We had 2 rooms and the decor in each was different. It is just so beautiful and unbelievably spacious.
The decor in all areas of the hotel is fantastic.
No lobby or staff, you receive a code to check in.
There is an honor bar which is a great novelty.
The bathrooms are stunning, bathrobes and slippers available.
I would live here if I could.

The hotel is right in the main street in a cool city. All stores and restaurants are walking distance.
The hotel has a swimming pool and gives a small breakfast.( local bakeries and instant quacker and hot beverages) that you can take to your room.
The towels were decoratively folded. Made a feeling that I'm wanted.
Perfect stay at fair price.

I love the area - however, I wanted to purchase some Chumash Indian artifacts - baskets, pottery, jewelry, but didn't see or know where to go to buy them.
The Chumash Cultural center/museum was not open, which was a disappointment! I will go back to visit it when it opens!
I would go there again - the Cachuma Lake was beautiful!
Thanks for a great time!

Look no further!
Look no further! This is an amazing hotel in the beautiful town of Solvang. You can walk to all the local restaurants and shops and see all the Scandinavian type of buildings. The breakfast was really good and the property is upscale and the grounds are well kept with seating areas outside by fireplaces. We loved every part of our stay.

What a great small city, beautiful beautiful place and peaceful
I’d live there in a heartbeat if I could
You will breathe fresh air which is a huge bonus from where I come from!
Just down the street is the infamous Solvang, which is a great place to shop and has lots of yummy places to eat.
I like to go down and stroll the shops and hit up a pub and have a hamburger and a beer or a glass of wine. One thing I really like about Buellton, is Solvang is literally less than five minutes down the road. Such an amazing and fun little town! This is where I’m going to come shopping for Christmas presents because the shops there are amazing. You can find something for everyone, even on a budget. There is a trolly too!
Wine tasting is so much fun!
The candy shops are yummy too!

Santa Ynez is a unique Valley, Beautiful with many site seeing ventures to fulfill your adventuresome side. Try your hand at gambling - from slots to video poker. Something for frugal spenders to "The Sky Is The Limits" budgets. Sweet tooth lovers cannot leave without devouring at least a Danish pastry and a late. For wine lovers - you require more than a week-end to taste the fruits-of-the-valleys. I'll drink to that! Feel like a trekking, try sightseeing a couple of notable missions - Santa Ynez has them.

Nice quaint town for a short get away.
Nice quaint town for a short get away. It mainly has bakeries & wineries to check out within walking distance of the hotels. Everything closes like at 8-9 pm, so best to start your day early. Ostrichland, lavender farms, & other wineries are within 3-5 miles of Solvang.
Hotels are old & pricey.

My family and friend groups have been coming to the Buellton/Santa Ynez/Solvang area for wine tasting and events for 30 years. I have been a member of many wineries over the years and love spending time in the area. Favorite wineries include Foxen, Lincourt, Firestone, Brickbarn, Beckman & Brander. We love to eat at Brothers at the Red Barn and Industrial Eats. The Figueroa Mountain Brewery and Firestone Brewery are great places to eat and usually have live music as well. I also love to visit the Clairmont Lavender Farm and buy Olive Oil from Olive Hill.

Buellton is a small town just off HWY 101.
Buellton is a small town just off HWY 101. The advantage of staying in Buellton is that it's in the center of Santa Barbara's wine country. There are vineyards with wine tasting nearby, and a variety of restaurants, Solvang, a Danish-style village, is 3 miles east of Buellton and Lompoc is about 12 miles west, where you can visit La Purisima Mission. Established in 1787, it is the most extensively restored mission in the state, restored to the 1820's mission era.
