We really enjoyed staying in this lovely place. Our room was large and airy with everything we needed. Sparkling clean and a lovely comfy bed. Breakfast was a buffet which was ample and fully stocked. The lady on the desk, BJ, was so welcoming, ready to give advice on places of interest and places to eat. So helpful, and made us feel right at home. Location for us was brilliant, not too far from Newport centre but far enough away to be quiet at night. Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel!

Middletown is absolutely beautiful.

Middletown is absolutely beautiful. Plenty of beaches to chose from and all have great views of the surrounding area....eg. cliffs. Lovely coast road drive which leads to Brenton Park for flying kites or have a picnic.

Reservations for dinner in Newport should be made at least a week or two in advance of arrival. Restaurants fill up quickly, especially in the summer and during the Holidays. Tree lighting weekend in Newport is especially busy! Be prepared in advance of arrival. We ate at The Mooring, Pasta Beach and The Atlantic Grille....all requiring advance reservations. While ending up to be delicious, they were not our first choice restaurants.

We had a pleasant experience overall.

We had a pleasant experience overall. The home was clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located, offering easy access to the attractions and amenities we wished to explore. The location itself was excellent, particularly the proximity to the beach and the stunning bridge views. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Overall, we would rate our stay as "good" and would recommend this property to others.

Village of Wickford is our go-to place in North Kingstown. Been there many times and although shops and eateries have changed the calming, seaside feel is always there. Tavern by the Sea is a favorite restaurant but there are lots of great places to dine and shop throughout the area.

We had a problem with our room, no hot water and the TV did not work. I believe the hotel had just opened for the season so we did not mind being moved to a new room. A hotel representative provided us a $28.25 credit for the inconvenience but we never received the credit. After 4 voicemails and an email or two, the hotel responded and told us they credited a Destination fee. We book the room through Booking.com and they charged us the $28.25 for a Resort fee so I believe these fees are the same fee because they are the exact same amount and why wouldn't Booking.com have charged me for both fees when I booked the room. It's not much money but it makes me wonder about Management's integrity and attention to detail.

There's a reason Newport has been a destination for some of the most affluent in America for many years. The location is absolutely perfect; You are surrounded by the beauty of the sea and some of the best historical buildings in a small city! There's so much to do for anyone, for any length of time. There are some fantastic neighbourhoods to check out, like Broadway and Upper and Lower Thames. But you can find some great places even far out in the Fifth Ward if you're willing to explore. Ocean Drive is beautiful by any way of travel, I honestly suggest taking a good part of a day and going by foot or by pedal power. You can even start or end with the Cliff Walk which is an amazing trek for any visitor! For being a small city like it is, Newport punches well above it's weight when it comes to dining options. Whatever you might want, you will likely find it somewhere in Newport. There's so much to do and see in the City by the Sea!

Jamestown is a small, laid back beach town without the hustle and bustle you find in other places. The setting is gorgeous. It is close to Newport and other cute historic towns and beaches to explore. There are some interesting historical sites; especially recommend the lighthouse. And of course, there are great little restaurants and bakeries.

We loved how quiet it was.

We loved how quiet it was. October is peak season for us where we live on the north fork of LonG Island, NY, and crazy full of tourists, we were happy that October is kind of “off season” for Narragansett. We took a Gansett Cruise in Newport Harbor, highly recommend! We ate at SPAIN one night, it was so good we wanted to go back a second night, but couldn’t get a reservation. The other nights we ate on the property where we stayed (The BREAK) at Chair 5, try the Roast Oysters, delicious! And probably the best French fries I’ve ever had!

Middletown is great for being outside the Mecca of Newport.

Middletown is great for being outside the Mecca of Newport. And while in the hotel, I felt like I could have been anywhere in the world. It's that inviting and comfortable. We came for a 2 day AAU Basketball Tournament in Tiverton, and I chose to stay in Middletown overnight. I wish we could have stayed longer... I wanted to walk down memory lane having lived and Served in the USN in Newport, but alas I had to flutter back home. I loved that there were stores and restaurants close by, but the proximity to downtown Newport drew me to the coastal village that I once loved so much and still do. Loved coming back to hospitable Sonesta employees, working out in the gym for a spell, sitting in the Sun the next morning in the pool area. So warm and bright.
