Had a great stay here, loved the unique dining room and the hot tub! We had a massage chair and fireplace in our room which was a really nice bonus. The entry way is amazing and there were massage chairs on the landing upstairs too. Would recommend this as a great place to stay, definitely the best stay of the road trip

The two receptionists that I met were both friendly and approachable. The location was perfect as I was staying in Vermont, but needed to get to/from Hanover easily. The bus network was very useful and made this experience much nicer. The local community at White River Junction was pleasant.
The hotel has a more dated style, which works well in the foyer and hallways. My room had some wallpaper peeling in places and slightly stained ceilings, but personally I do not care for these when travelling cheap. The bed, room size, ease of access and facilities were all perfect. I would revisit!

Amtrak station stop right on Main St., Variety of restaurants and values for both the vacationing couple and a family. Vermont Salvage is an interesting place to walk through and marvel at all the great merchandise which is organized very well. Variety of small shops, thrift stores, live music in some of the restaurants, brewery, small parks, pleasant friendly people.

Normally we go to Lebanon (from our home 1.5 hours further north) for films and theater at Dartmouth. It is a delightful place to visit. Good restaurants, and don't miss King Arthur Flour bakery and store in nearby Norwich.

Best location as I was frequently at Dartmouth College. There are many restaurants around. Getting to Hanover was easy as the Dartmouth Coach came to the airport. No regrets. I would visit again and again.

Excellent value for the money.
Excellent value for the money. Close to Quechee Gorge and VINS, a short drive to Woodstock or White River Junction/Lebanon NH. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. The facility was pretty good, though the stairwells needed sweeping and the Pergo flooring in our room had popped a little. Overall, very comfortable and pleasant - particularly for the price point - hard to go wrong with this place.

Right next door to Dan & Whit’s, a classic Vermont institution of the old fashion general stores that has EVERYTHING! Norwich is a stunningly beautiful town great for walking. Connecticut River is down the street. Has swimming holes in summer. Norwich is close to really fun spots like White River Junction, VT, Hanover, NH, Montshire Museum, King Arther Flour bakery & museum type set-up, and the Appalachian Trail!

We came to visit Dartmouth. Being from the West coast W. Lebanon is not on most folks radar. But from we saw we would enjoy a return trip to experience the nature, outdoor activities and lifestyle for a few more days. Its a great place to slow down get some fresh air and refocus the soul.

We stayed at White River Inn and Suites. I was REALLY looking forward to pool time over New Year's and was disappointed to find it was closed. Also, hubby had to go outside and across the parking lot to use the gym at the Holiday. We did love the proximity to several country stores! If it hadn't been pouring rain, we'd have visited the Gorge and other places. The downtown was still lit up with Christmas decos and was very beautiful. Nice quiet getaway.

Quechee is lucky to have the renowned Simon Pearce glass-making studio at its heart. Fabulous lunch there in a great location. Unfortunately on the day we went we couldn't see the glass-blowing in action, but the range and quality of the merchandise was incredible. Take an extra suitcase!

Very clean and updated except for the carpet, but I think they are really trying to get to a competitive status with hotels closer to the medical center. I was very pleased with my room. A little small, but clean and updated. I felt comfortable and safe. StAff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good variety and enjoyable.
