Room was clean and nice and cool when we got there. Lady working front desk for check in was super nice which seems to be uncommon nowadays at motels and the beds were comfortable, also worth mentioning is no bedbugs or signs of them previously so the property is doing a fantastic job on pest control.
I'd recommend anyone looking for an inexpensive room for a night to stay here.

The location of this hotel is what you're paying for since it's close to many amenities, but you won't be able to sleep much since the beds are uncomfortable and some of the guests in the parking lot can be very noisy.

I was visiting family and attending my grandchild's college...
I was visiting family and attending my grandchild's college graduation at ETBU. Since I didn't know the area I had no idea where I could find someplace to eat that was close to the motel. No phonebook or publicity for the area was included in the room. No motel map to locate where an ice machine was located or even if there was one. It was great for my diet since I only had two meals which were provided by my sons in their favorite restaurants.

Kilgore was fine. We were just passing through. We lost a lot of money at a motel where 2 rooms were somehow booked and they would not let us cancel even through we arrived before the cut-off to cancel. We requested to cancel less than 45 minutes after booking the room before 6:00 PM. The manager never was there to assist us in 3 days trying to reach the manager. (America's Best Value Inn). We stayed at another lovely motel and it was great - Quality Inn. There were good places to eat in Kilgore. We ate at Chili's.

We needed to stay close to MartinCreek State Park to spend the day with friends who were camping there. This Baymont Inn & Suites hotel was not only very nice (and clean) but it was only 3 miles away. It was perfect for what we needed.

After reading the reviews, I thought I found the best choice for the night. But it was a bit out of the way and after smelling the room I felt I’ve made a mistake, but there was nothing to do at this point. I’ve asked if they could send up some air freshener and they did so I guess Customer Service was very good But the smell was really unfortunate. It was a very large room but had no furniture in half of it. I got the room with the hot tub which was actually pretty clean. Just super dated must’ve been from the 70s, but the water was hot, refrigerator was nice and cold and the bed allowed for sleep. I’m really sorry to report the negatives. It’s just not what you expect after reading good reviews.

It was nice and peaceful, my parents live in kilgore so my family and I visit there alot. I know since the coronavirus things are limited around the world, but this is still a nice place to stay. The only thing I could say about this holiday inn, that is not bad, just a little disappointing, is the breakfast is always the same and when you pay for it, even with everything going on, it should at least change up a little bit every couple of days.
