The main reason we went to the motel was to swim. The pool area was great. There was a kiddy pool, and the hot tub was connected to the pool so the water was really warm.
With 5 restaurants, a full water park and a fitness center all located on site, Canad Inns Grand Forks has something for everyone. The University of North Dakota is 1.4 miles away.

We had booked through Booking.com and it said there was a hottub in the room. When we arrived there actually wasn't. The lady who checked us in gave us an upgrade with a room with a hottub. Such a nice gesture!

The breakfast was exceptional with the hot options being kept hot. The staff was friendly and happy to respond to questions. We had a room with a jacuzzi tub which I took advantage of 2x and enjoyed very much.
The newly opened Sleep Inn & Suites is located adjacent to Alerus Center – Grand Forks’ premiere entertainment facility and home of University of North Dakota football.

I'm biased because this is my hometown.
I'm biased because this is my hometown. I always appreciate the pretty tree-lined streets and well-kept, mostly modest homes. The trees are typically old growth and often form a canopy and lovely shade in the neighborhoods. Grand Forks has always been a cute little college town with decent shopping and a surprising number of dining and cultural options. I travel to Grand Forks frequently to visit family and friends. I always enjoy the time I spend there. It feels like coming home, no matter how old I get.

Loved, loved the Blue Moose!
Loved, loved the Blue Moose! Excellent food and the staff was awesome! There are places to shop, stay and it's a quiet community. There are parks for kids and it's just a nice community to take a walk.

I've been to Grand Forks many times this Fall for health...
I've been to Grand Forks many times this Fall for health reasons. After my treatments I had plenty of time to explore the city. The best attribute of Grand Forks is the people! They are incredibly friendly and very helpful to those who are visiting, whether for business or personal reasons. There are some lovely parks and ample activities for my "off" time. Also some great restaurants, both chain and independent. I'm done with my traveling there at the moment but will enjoy returning in the future.

We love Grand Forks!
We love Grand Forks! Lots of rich history and amazing historical architecture. Our son is stationed there, and this was our 2nd visit. One visit with snow and this time just perfect weather! There's lots to see and do, and I think they are likely one of the most dog friendly places I've ever visited. We look forward to returning in the fall. My favorite places to eat are Tea & Crepe (gluten free!!! And the best ever) and Ely's Ivy, my husband loved Red Pepper and Boss Pizza, and my 9 year old loved Pizza Ranch. Of course, we go to Scheels, while there. It's such a great store, even if you don't need anything, still go! I'm not a big shopper so I can't make many suggestions in that category. We also went to Splashers on mother's day. It's a small indoor water park. It was great! I would do it again for sure. It was just a great experience overall to visit. It's the perfect vacation for our little family.
