Beautiful accomodation for the night, well appointed rooms, clean. Great facilities, amazing breakfast. Felt like staying in a ski lodge. Staff were amazing, complimentry coffee. We loved how remote and peaceful the property felt — truly tucked away in the woods, far from other places, surrounded by nature. It felt wonderfully off-grid, with beautiful skies at night and the sense that you were really living in the forest. The property itself was simple but beautiful, blending right into its surroundings. Bass, the host we dealt with, was extremely pleasant — friendly, helpful, and full of good advice for our stay. The room had everything we needed, and the location was perfect for exploring the Grand Canyon.

It's a perfect place to stay to visit the canyon and usually cheaper, but there are some really nice hotels too. There are several eating places. There could be more, but what is here is fine. A variety of choices.

We spent three full days in the Grand Canyon area in early November. Chilly nights, comfortable days, end of fall color, and not too many visitors (although the government shutdown may have had something to do with that). Those working (and especially the non-profit organizations such as the Grand Canyon Conservancy) worked hard to keep things running. Hats off to everyone! No surprise that dining options are limited and prices on the high side - this is a very out-of-the-way place; however, the food and service were good. We've visited Grand Canyon several times over the years and it never disappoints, especially if you get out put some miles on your boots.

It's a basic hotel but very close to the entrance of the south rim. Staff and breakfast very good. Enjoyed seeing Elk every evening as they appear to come from the woods and are used to being around people
