The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I live in Hampton Bays but it felt like I was miles away. Quite beautiful and the back porch was perfect for sunning. The staff was very helpful and came over right away because I got confused about the tv remote. So nice and can’t wait to come back when the pool gets warm.

East Quogue is so lovely.
East Quogue is so lovely. The downtown area is very quaint and beautifully landscaped, with fabulous restaurants and unique clothing and houseware stores. The people are friendly and it’s just a very soothing and pleasant place to spend your time.

The hotel was clean the staff was friendly the bed was comfortable.The bathroom had men's hairs from someone shaving their face and neck on the sink. There was men's hairs around the sink that was not clean prior to renting the space The bathroom could have been wiped down better. The room and the bathroom also had a bad odor.

Hampton Bays is the main town to get an affordable hotel...
Hampton Bays is the main town to get an affordable hotel with close enough access to the rest of the Hamptons from Southampton to Montauk. There is also a main grocery store Stop n Shop there with much less grocery options as you go deeper into the Hamptons. There is also an old movie theatre with the old style seating (no fake leather recliners like many movie theatres now-a-days) surprising they didn't update for being in the hamptons. The many bays in the Hampton BAYS offer ocean views but not many beaches, the main huge beaches on the Atlantic Ocean side of he south fork are quite inaccessible to tourists during the busy season after memorial day. I just went to 4 of them from Southampton to East Hampton before memorial day when I could easily park and marvel at the endless beaches as far as the eye could see in both directions with no people. there are only TINY parking lots on the beaches with huge private houses in between the town and beach too far to try to park in the town and walk to beach. I suggest renting a Helicopter or get there at 5 am. Or know someone who has a mansion there. This is THEIR playground it is clear and I respect that. BTW the tree lined residential streets are impressive, I literally did a tree tour as they have preserved some magnificent trees.

You'll spend most of your time driving OUTSIDE of Aquebogue to anywhere with real substance. Not too many attractions in general in Riverhead, and even less within a 10 to 15 mile radius. Limited restaurant options and the ones that are there tend to be very overpriced or need reservations. Good if you want a cheaper place to stay while visiting the Hamptons, but not a destination in itself.

Never had a bad meal. East on main good too. Loved it on the north fork. Peace and quite plus right in wine country

The Hamptons, North and South Shores of Long Island are beautiful. It was great to be back home. Riverhead has become a very lovely town; visit all the local wineries and restaurants and beach. Perfect location to see all of Long Island East End. Local farmstands are wonderful. For those that don't know New York.........visit the HAMPTONS and Riverhead is a perfect location as your hub. Canoe trips along the river are a fun day sport if you're up to "portages". Drive down Dune Road and awe the mansions. Visit the DUCK!

Live on Long Island but this was a quick anniversary getaway. Great restaurants, beaches and local shopping. Perfect for fishing, hiking and general relaxing. Feels like New England small town life, but only 50 miles outside of NYC.

Convenient location for wedding venue in South Hampton. Dated but absolutely clean and maintained meticulously.
Accommodated over 35 family members. Has a large veranda outside 1st floor rooms for family to gather.
Staff members were perfect hosts.
Only drawback was that it had no elevator in our building because it only had two floors.
And mirrors were high on walls. No full length mirror.
