Haywood Hilton was in a great location right across the street from the show we were attending. Everything was fine except Booking.com description of the amenities. It showed the room including a mini bar, a balcony, bath robes, etc., none of these were available. Price was incorrect. The Haywood had a good breakfast and a nice room and I would stay there again by contacting them directly instead of going through Booking.com.

Great restaurants & great down home country relaxing feel .
Great restaurants & great down home country relaxing feel . Eldorado is very easy to maneuver around . I love the downtown area & I try to catch a band when they have one perform . You have to try the Laredo Grill ; their food is delicious & it has outdoor seating also .

This isn't exactly a destination type place.
This isn't exactly a destination type place. We were there overnight on our way somewhere else and to drop off a friend. Still, the downtown area is having a renaissance. Cute boutiques, restaurants and bars fill the old storefronts and at night it's well lit and very charming. It made me wish I had a day to spare for exploring. We did take an hour out for the museum about the local oil industry- cool if you like that type of thing. I also was told there are concerts and a reenactment of a historical feud. If you like Mexican food and great margaritas, hit Laredos downtown. We went there on our way north and on our way back south. Nice mix of people- young folks, older folks, families, couples. The feeling was laid back and friendly.
My family will definitely keep El Dorado (locals say El doe-ray-doe, btw) as a stop on our trips to Northern Arkansas.
