Hilarious room, with huge bath in the room together with shower, toilet and all other factilities we needed. couldn't work out how to turn the lights out but coped!

- hotel was really close to the airport : it takes 11 minutes by taxi for a cost of 215 NTD or 20 minutes by bus for a cost of 25 NTD. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel and goes to both terminal ( bus #1841 or 1842)
- much cheaper that staying directly at the airport
- the host was so friendly and spoke really good English
- free tea available
- there is a variety of food and accessories you can buy from the place in case you need anything ( toothbrush, underwear, dry noodles, cookies etc )

This is a suburb of Taipei very close to a large shopping mall called tai mall. Tai Mall is HUGE and is a little pricey but good to wander around in. There was no vegetarian options of food so we went to a VERY authentic vegetarian only restaurant in the town. There are small restaurants in the neighboring villages that have better pricing and feel less like eating at a chilis or Red Robin. They do not have many English translations so you will need to make use of chatGPT and google lens to translate if you are English only. I used Google Translate to communicate with folks and it worked out fine. The snacks in the convenience stores were awesome as well such variety and perfect for our long flight back to the states.

The pastries were so delicious, especially the custard tarts.
The Sogo food hall in the basement is excellent.
I suggest you walk along the river during the day.
At night, try the many night markets.
I must emphasise how friendly Taiwanese people are, both young and old.
Such a refreshing change.

Didn’t really travel around the area much due to short leave. Main purpose is to attend Shenyun performance at Taoyuan Arts Centre. A world class performance to watch. Taiwan is one of the country to be very fortunate to host the performance for 1 month throughout different cities.
A very surprised finding: that nobody seems to know where to get dried loquats in Taoyuan where it’s manufactured right in Taoyuan! Had been to medical shop, wet market, fruit stalls, convenient stores, etc. Had even asking the locals but no one seems to know! Weird…
A lot of eating places for different varieties meals around Taoyuan central from small shops to posh restaurants to suit your budget.
Will visit Taoyuan again in future if there’s opportunity.

Spent a couple of trips x couple of nights stationed at Linkou - a lovely residential estate great for shopping and dining. Easy access by MRT and bus to other parts (e.g. Guanyin Temple about 20mins away by bus). Good stopover before or after flight from Taoyuan Airport!

The area is very quiet, it has lots of parks and a calligraphy museum for anyone to enjoy. This place is located at Taoyuan HSR/MRT A018 stop. It also have Gloria outlet where you can eat and shop until you drop. Lots if tourist here for sure as the outlet has lots of premium brand name items that offer at a discount price.

I was absolutely lost in all of the amazing food stalls at the night market. That pretty much took my entire agenda. I originally wanted to go to take a dance class however I arrived too late. Transportation is rather swift and easy. I think there is definitely a lot to explore with this area so I'm excited for my next visit.

The street is very clean also a lot of shopping mall worth to pay a visit. The local food is amazing
Better visit North Taiwan in Spring or Fall, it's freezing cold during my stay in Taoyuan it's windy and chill to the bone.
But over all the travel experience is good.

I was there only for an over-night, hotel stay and briefly walked the streets where I was. The district was ok, not English friendly. The area I was in seemed to have been an industrial area. If I were with a Mandarin speaking person, I would have walked around a more.

The bed was comfortable.
Location is with close proximity to MRT, but will take 30mins or so to reach the Taipei Main Station, Ximending, or any famous tourist spot in the city. Takes 60-80mins from/to TPE airport.
There is a shopping mall and few restaurants next door.
Having bidet in the toilet is the deciding factor why we decided to stay in this hotel.

The service is top class - the hotel plumber is at call even at midnight ! The room is clean and the beds are comfortable.
