Unfortunately, when we arrived at the place, we did not find any free rooms and they explained to us that several reservations came in from Booking at the same time. Which was a big lie, they offered us a terrible, dirty apartment and literally left us on the street with our child in the middle of the night. They refunded our money but did not offer us an alternative, a normal hotel. :( We had called in advance

This is an apartment. It is new, very clean and extremely comfortable. For some reason that has to do with booking.com the address is wrong and we spent a lot of time looking for it.

The room was clean, but it smelled like cigarettes, which wasn't critical for us, but still not particularly pleasant. The staff is polite and friendly, but the hotel is located near the airport, but if you have a lot of luggage, we will not be able to walk because of the high mountain, we ordered a taxi, a hotel employee helped us to do this

The Sumela Monastery is a must see.
The Sumela Monastery is a must see. But the bonus is the breathtaking views on the drive up to the Monastry. Nearby Rize and the tea farm is beautiful. But the peace de resistance has to be Ayder. Like the Swiss Alps with its unique Turkish culture. The views is not to be missed. The snow capped mountains with its mountain streams and the “Devil river” used for Riverafting. Lots of construction on the roads, building more tunnels.
The construction of the houses, apartments along the mountain slopes, is Engineering perfection.

For any families with children, visiting Trabzon and want to...
For any families with children, visiting Trabzon and want to be close to the airport, but still close to the market and downtown, this is your perfect place. We got in late and didn’t try, but you might even walk the market from here- thats how close it was.
The apartment was extremely clean, spacious, and comfortable and all the amenities were available. The host greeted us promptly and was really helpful.

North Star Hotel is located just a stone's throw away from TZX airport. The view from here is absolutely fabulous. The buffet breakfast is well stacked in terms of choice.
