This proved to be a perfect choice for a one-night stop on the way west. We were nervous because some of the reviews had been so negative, but this wasn't our experience at all. Nice big clean room on a high floor, and a good takeaway for etliekmek just a few minutes' walk away. Excellent parking, and easy access in and out of town.

This was a lovely city. there is so much to see especially if you are staying in the older part of the city. I loved walking around the city sightseeing. You would find the most unexpected shopping experience as well as cultural. The people are also nice here gives you a small town vibe.

Enjoyed visiting the Mevlana Museum, well laid out and well preserved. Visited Allaaddin Hill -- a pleasant place to sit, rest and reflect. Unfortunately no nearby cafe or eatery (so take some food and drink with you). A visit to the Butterfly Valley is recommended.

Impressions from Visiting Konya
Visiting Konya was a very special experience. As a significant religious center, it stands out as quite different from other places in Turkey. One of the most positive aspects I noticed was that nearly all museums are free of charge for all visitors—not just Turkish citizens—which is a major plus. Although I didn’t use public transportation myself because my hotel was located outside the city center, the system appeared to be well-organized. For future travelers, I would recommend staying in or near the city center with access to the tram network, which makes it easy to reach all parts of Konya.
I also really enjoyed the local restaurants. They were easy to find, offered a wide variety of traditional Turkish dishes, and maintained a high standard of hygiene. The food was delicious, and the overall dining experience was very pleasant. Konya left a strong impression on me, and I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a culturally rich and well-managed destination in Turkey.
