Beautiful building with nice wooden doors and furniture, covered parking. Big, clean room and bathroom; very good breakfast, comfortable bed, electronic door lock. It has all “standard items” and even a bit more than that. The supermarket is just around the corner.

The breakfast was great with plenty of variety. The restaurant for dinner was good with Thai and western food. Staff were great, the place well maintained. Would stay again. Pool was well kept.

Nothing to see except nearby shrine on tophills with stunning view of the town. Proximity to few Karen tribe villages.
Besides that the town itself has nothing to offer. No life on streets and most of business closed after 8 pm.

It was actually Mae Hong Son which is an obvious stop on the western route from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and we easily spent three days in the region looking at wats etc in and around town and a day trip out to the Salween river border area . It is not a very exciting town but the surroundings are definitely worth exploring however having you own transport is important just be prepared for very windy roads and some pretty wild local drivers overtaking on blind corners,
