Very nice and fully equipped apartment located in a quite spa village. There is an aquapark close to the apartment with several pools with thermal springs water. There are also many nice places around Kováčová. So this apartment is a very good base for day trips to many interesting places.

My parents stayed for 3 nights and they liked everything about this accommodation. Great communication with the owners. Very flexible with check in and check out, always helpful.
Location is excellent. Holiday park Kovacova is just 2min. Walk. Grocery shop just 5min. Walk and lots of pubs around.
We really recommend this place.

Everything is great, the apartment underneath the owner's home, it is spacious, has comfortabele bedden, 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, spacious shower. No kitchen area but microwave and fridge available. The host was waiting for us with a cold welcome limonade, we found it a nice gesture. There is a minibar in the fridge for extra cost.
Mosquitonet everywhere, comforting.
The owner is very friendly, responsive, I can say only positieve things about her.
Location is good, depending on what you need. It is close to the motorway so Zvolen and Banska Bystrica is a short drive away. There are nice shopping centers and city centers/restaurants.
Kovacova has only the aquapark where we didn't go.

Our eldest son studies in Zvolen, so we chose the university first, and the city itself was a bonus for us. It is peaceful, quiet, with a wonderful climate and friendly people. The location is also excellent, with direct roads to Krakow and Bratislava. I highly recommend it.

Zvolen is a city offering the longest car-free walking/shopping square with cafes and parks in the center. In the summer months it is warm, the sun sets down at 21:00 and no wind. The lunch costs 5 euro, you get soup & tasty warm meal, and ice cream 0,80 euro. Great value for money! The whole family of four can eat really tasty lunch incl drinks for 35 euro incl. Ice cream for all! Kovacova offers thermal swimming pool which is great for adults and kids. Parking at Europa- the shopping mall -is free of charge so do not waste money on the street. Eat at Certovska koliba near Budca, around 10km from Zvolen, all motorway, great traditional food- do not take halusky s brynzou- you like it only if you grow up in SK. Order food with meat there, always good! In the evening one meal costs just 8,30euro with 0,5 liter of kofola ( similar to cola) Enjoy!

A beautiful small city at the foothills.
A beautiful small city at the foothills. It has a lot ot cafes and all prime sight seeing locations around are well reachable. People are warm and nice and there is enough to do for all types and age groups of people. There is a sushi restaurant which is undoubtedly the best in Slovakia.

Life is very quiet on the main Plaza where there are no cars circulating. There are no traffic lights on the streets. There are coffee places all around restaurants where you can have typical food from Slovakia.
Banská Bistrice is a city with a Soul - people are curious and friendly (I speak a bit of Czech).
One afternoon there was a grandma lady explaining to 15-20 grandmoms about the charmings of the city.
