Everything. The apartment is brand new and fully equipped with everything you might need. Very beautifully furnished and the owner was very helpful and takes good care by paying attention to every little detail. We enjoyed the stay very much. It is basically in front of the airport but it's completely soundproof and silent. Since we come to Bratislava often to visit family, this will be our main choice of accommodation going forward. It was a very nice apartment with big, bright and clean rooms. My family was absolutely happy with this choice. A playground for kids was the best option to spend energy. The grocery store is two minutes from the apartment. Thanks for such a wonderful accommodation.

Bratislava Airport is set 6 miles (9 kilometres) north-east of the centre of Bratislava. Its setting in the heart of Europe means it’s within easy reach of three neighbouring countries, and just an hour’s drive from Vienna, Brno and Győr. Taxis are a swift way of getting between the airport and the centre of Bratislava, costing around EUR 15–20 for a 20-minute journey. Bus route 61 (which becomes the N61 night route between 23:30 and 03:30) runs between the city’s railway station, Hlavná Stanica, every 20 minutes.

I liked the Nivy area, it's very new and well organised with lots of green areas. There are a lot of shopping opportunities in the centre and around. Lot's of coffee shops and places to eat. The bus station is close by, and it was easy to get to from the Bratislava Airport.

Cozy and comfortable apartment.
Cozy and comfortable apartment. It is close to the highway if you come by car, and it is connected to Bratislava by bus lines. It is certainly easy to find accommodation. We walked and ran in the morning along well-maintained paths through the nearby woods. It was a really relaxing vacation.

The apartment is situated on top (5th) floor and no lift/elevator available, which is not indicated in their sales introduction, and we hardly managed our luggage upto the room; shower can easily spill water out of the bathroom which is doorless but open to toilet area; towels are dark colour and rough (see picture); bedding is uncomfortable and quilt/blankets are easily messed up between inside stuff and outer cover(see picture); no napkin tissues are provided on dining table; toilet papers are limited to 2 rolls for 7 days’ stay.

If you plan to visit all the expositions of the castle, this takes half a day. Don't forget the gardens - these close faster than the castle.
Try the slovak food - is full of flavor, and very good for cold winter days. Flagship Restaurant and the Slovak Pub are well known restaurants, so you may queue for a table. Try Modrá Hviezda restaurant - recommend traditional guláš of vernison, even if it's $$$.
Don't forget to try oravský Korbáčik - string cheese. I even saw vendomats for cheese.
You can visit the city walls (Vtáčia bašta) and arrive in front of Saint Martin's Cathedral.
Try to buy souvenirs from shops located outside centrum.
If you want to shop some $$$ stuf, go to Eurovea center.
Remember to breath while you count the steps up to Slavin memorial monument.
If you want to visit Hrad Devin (castle), i recommend taking the bus (cheaper) and go in the first part of the day. Since these are ruins on Danube, it will be cold if the wind is blowing. Otherwise very nice leisure walk.
And now that you need a moment to reflect on how beautiful Bratislava is, try honey wine. Medovina or Vcelovina are my favorite brands.
Oh, and I visited Nov 2025 and the prices for sweets and drinks in the airport are about 2-5 euros more than the ones in city center. Totally recommend buying at the airport if you are flying with a backpack.

Good place to be in Bratislava if you are looking for place outside of busy city center. Having lake Strkovec near is a big plus and also very convenient for sports fans, since it is close to hockey and football stadiums.
