A clean and contemporary apartment with all the essentials for both work and tourism stay. We have had a pleasure meeting Timmy, who was a very caring, hospitable landlord, helped us to check-in and prepared all for our short, but restful stay. The apartment has a large balcony suitable for dining or breakfasts, it also has storage spaces and bicycle parking. Ine could walk to the Aparment, but it’s also 4 min from the central station by bus and 7 min by bicycle. Clean and fresh towels, bedsheets, shampoo, laundry detergent etc was available. Overall — a fantastic beginning for our Kalmar and Öland adventurous.

The place was nice, clean and the host was easy to phone even if we get there after 6pm. Bed were comfortables and for this price, travelling in a group of 3 adults, that was the perfect plan.

Wonderful castle and walks around and through the city were most enjoyable. The area is flat so no problems with steep inclines.
Interesting history with many photo opportunities. Even took advantage of a local folk singing concert. We came away most refreshed and look forward to visiting again.

The location is amazing, and the pizza in the restaurant is great. We did not expect to find such good pizza in such a tiny place. :) It's dog-friendly, which is a great plus!
The house we booked was well-equipped and in very good condition overall. However, I wish the management had taken better care to check if the previous owners had cleaned properly after leaving. It wasn't disgustingly dirty, but the previous occupants definitely did not follow the cleaning instructions. There were also too few cleaning supplies, and I wish the rugs were labeled—toilet rugs, for example, should be labeled so people don't use them to clean other parts. ;-)

It was well worth the trip from Helsingborg. We liked the old town. The castle & surrounding gardens were spectacular. We would have done the nature walk, but the weather was too cold & wet (23rd & 24th May, 2025.

The castle was a great tour—even in the pouring rain.
The castle was a great tour—even in the pouring rain. We drove to Oland and swam in the Baltic Sea. It was a nice hike—easy 4-5 miles. Walking around the walled area of Kalmar was nice as well. We had dinner at Ernesto’s which was delicious.
