The owners were lovely and very accommodating. Due to changes in my travel plans, I had to amend my check-in dates and times upon short notice, and they accommodated all my requests. The apartment was spacey and very comfortable. Felt like home.

Beautiful city.
Beautiful city. I had the oportunity to visit the Museum of the Book dedicated to the great Romanian intellectuals of the exile, and also the Museum of History, with wonderful explanations about the history of Oltenia. I visited the Romanescu Park, amazing experience, although I couldn't be there a lot of time.

It’s a lovely city, full of wonderful museums (the Art museum is a must with the Brâncuși Centre; the History Museum; the Etnography Museum; the Science and Natural History Museum; the Exile Museum and others), the wonderful Romanescu Park, the Botanical Gardens and a litany of very good restaurants. Well worth visiting

lovely hour in the art museum.
lovely hour in the art museum. Christmas market is a bit basic and very expensive for what was there. Food incredibly expensive and not great - I normally love mici but this wasn't good. Had to wait until quite late for any atmosphere.
I'd visit Craiova as part of a longer trip, but not for the market.
