The fact that it’s 650m walking distance away from the airport, 3,5km away fr the ocean (easy flat , run walk or bike on the cycling path, so safe as well).
The buses are easy to found !
The facilities is soooo clean, the amenities too ! The bunk bed at comfy and clean as well. I would have stayed a whole week if I could !

The fly house is a great option if you have ann early flight in the morning or you want to be close to the airport it is only about a 10 to 15 minutes walk. The rooms feel like hotels rooms plus they have a common kitchen that can be used! I would highly recommend !

We booked this place second time. If you want to take a place next to airport this is a perfect option. It's easy to find, local restaurant downstairs, Monday closed but you can find other...Also you can walk to the beach and enjoy. Quiet place, clean and comfortable for one two nights.

This place exceeded our expectations completely! The main bedroom was so nicely decorated & felt so homey. The actual studio itself has everything you need - you can see the effort the hosts have put in. The ping pong table was a nice addition and we watched some Disney movies that are there for use. We felt like kids again, it was such a joy!

The apartment is everything one needs if looking for an accommodation near Faro Airport: it's clean, quiet, comfortable, and it has all bathroom and kitchen utilities one may need for a short stay. On top of that, Dora is the kindest, most thoughtful and responsive host ever (not only for all the info and attention she provided at our arrival, but also for going to the post office immediately after our departure to kindly ship something we had forgotten, despite all the burocracies she had to deal in relation to that). Faro Airport is less than 3 miles (4 kilometres) from the centre of Faro. It’s the starting point for many trips around the Algarve coastline. The easiest way to reach Faro is by taxi, which will cost about EUR 15 and take around 15 minutes. Buses 14 and 16 take around 20 minutes and leave from the terminal hourly from around 07:00 until 17:00.

We stayed in Faro overnight to catch an early morning flight. We went to the historical part of town and walked around. It was fine but rather unremarkable. However, there is a large shopping center in Faro with an Auchan Supermarket. This shopping center was fantastic, beautiful with nice water features and a large food center with relaxing outdoor seating.

Faro has a contrast in neighborhoods. Some parts look really rundown and others not so much. Given this city is in the Algarve region, a lot of visitors must come through, and this has given the city a bit of an edge (this observation is based only on a couple of days in Faro, during the "shoulder" travel season in Portugal).

The best place!
The best place! People in the area are so friendly, restaurants and beach bars are great and the sunsets are amazing! Area is good for walking, biking and driving around - you can also use Ubers! If you like to stay active like me, there's some great gym facilities that do classes and events.

Communicating only through email and WhatsApp could make...
Communicating only through email and WhatsApp could make things difficult. (In my case, I do not USE WhatsApp, and was not set up to get the check-in instructions). There is a phone number to the property, but there is not always someone AT the property (which they had already let us know, in advance). Fortunately, we were able to reach someone who went "above and beyond" by meeting us at the property, 10:00 pm on a Saturday night, to help complete the process, and we were able to check in. Our room was spacious for two people, and very clean. Although we did not make use of the shared kitchen facilities, they too, were spacious and clean. The property is a reasonable distance from the Faro airport. A "10" out of "10".

Need a car!
Need a car! Our main interest was the beach which is great so didn't really want to travel around. Vale de Lobo itself has no interest . A lot of building going on obviously for foreign investors. If you want to experience the real flavour of Portugal , this isn't the place. As a beach holiday with kids , that is fine.
Food is repetitive and ordinary. People are friendly, ubers are cheap. The beach side restaurants have nice settings & views.

Faro is such a lovely city.
Faro is such a lovely city. We had only one night there I really wish we could have stayed longer. Great shops, restaurants, really nice buzz around. There is so much to see and do. The bones church for example, the cathedral and beautiful. I highly recommend if you are flying into Faro spend a full day in Faro.

We have been visiting the area for many years and are always sad to leave. There is plenty to do and the weather is usually very good. It is clean and well kept, safe and easy to get around.
The restaurants are reasonably priced considering the great locations and views and the menus suit a mixed party with lots of choices.

Almancil has loads to do and loads to see. There are waterparks near and beautiful beaches, as well as good restaurants. I recommend it for people who want holidays as it has lots to see and the people are friendly.

The apartment was lovely just the right size, the beach club was great and having the shuttle on tap was amazing because its such a big place you definitely need the shuttle bus to get around. We never had one bad meal at any of the restaurants every one was tasty and delicious. I would recommend Vale De Lobo resort to everyone. Its amazing

Lovely old town with intact walls.
Lovely old town with intact walls. Not crazy busy like other destinations but we were there in October. In general prices are OK but not cheap. Food was decent but we weren't blown away by what was on offer. A lovely place to visit and explore. Would definitely go back.
