I stay at Ever O Business Hotel for 8 days and it is the best location because it is at the heart of the city. When you go down there are plenty of malls and food outlet available. My most favorite of all its near to two Jollibee Branch and MCD. Just behind the hotel is a shopping the SM mall. I suggest to go and check on google map using the street view so you can see the street. I recommend to buy some food for late night munch as there is no 24 hours shop and most of the shop close by 7/8 and 9 pm. Everyone is just so helpful when you ask for direction. The aircon is very cold.

There is no place like home.
There is no place like home. Grew up in Zamboanga and always missed tha culture, food and friendly people . Abundance of good food! My only complaint is the horrible traffic everywhere. Hope there will be a solution for this in the future. Zamboanga is known to be the city of flowers, I hope to see Zamboanga in its former glory.

What I like most about Zamboanga is their rich culture which tourists can see in their museum, churches and mosques.
Food (like curacha) is way too expensive.
There is no proper regulation in as far as fare rate is concerned. Drivers tend to rip off tourists as their fare rates are not uniform and drivers tend to show tourists that they are not familiar with the place thereby extracting much higher fare from clients.
The city is also not clean and orderly and very few resto where you can dine, relax and enjoy the ambiance of the city.

I have experienced a totally different side of the Philippines. I felt that they are more conservative and the food is less appealing. I was there for 5 nights and 6 days but it felt too long. 3 nights are enough for Zamboanga.
