I stayed a total of 3 weeks in Laoag and frequently switched between the budget places. In this price range, I decidedly liked Riton Apartelle best. It's secluded enough for some quiet time (which is rare in Laoag), but not too secluded. It only took a few minutes on foot to good restaurants (near Northwestern Uni) and a co-working spot (with an outstanding cafe next to it). Price/Value is excellent imo.

The location was excellent. Across the street from the shopping center was a perfect location for shopping and restaurants. Also, there was a taxi stand across the street at the shopping center so getting a taxi was easy.

If you’re a nature lover who enjoys stunning landscapes, long stretches of coastline, and quiet highways perfect for biking or driving, this destination is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning this summer. Two weeks just weren’t enough to fully experience all the incredible spots without feeling rushed. Next time, I’m giving myself more time to truly take it all in.

The sunset views are spectacular from the pool deck. Awesome service from the hotel staff. I wish there was no stray cats roaming around due to allergies and sanitation while eating in the gazebo huts. Our room was nice but I wish the shower pressure was much stronger. I also wish the water heater would be a bit hotter for taking a hot shower. There were no hotel room slippers provided. But overall my family and I enjoyed our stay. We got to go to the beach area and rent 2 boats to venture out into the ocean deep. I hope the owner considers putting a wheelchair path way for those needing it to enjoy the property and it's amenities.

Very few places to visit within the city but it is very near...
Very few places to visit within the city but it is very near Suba Sand Dunes where you can enjiy trekking using a 4x4 vehicle in a sand dune.
Also Paoay Cathedral is very near which is a sight to behold.
