A charming hotel set within Lio Estate in El Nido, Balai Adlao is within 19-minute drive from Corong Corong Beach and 30-minute drive from Nacpan. This was the best hotel we stayed at in the Philippines. From the super friendly and helpful staff, to the location, amenities, cleanliness. From the moment you go there the staff will welcome you in a very heartwarming way. The beach which is 1min walk from the hotel is one of the most beautiful and peaceful ones.

Huni Lio features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in El Nido. The hotel provides an outdoor swimming pool and free shuttle service and free WiFi. We got the room facing the pool, and it was lovely. The resort was just the right size, with the basic things that we need. The kids enjoyed dining at the restaurant because it was at the beach. Our little one was able to play with sand while we enjoyed our drinks. We loved seeing the squirrels playing by trees near the restaurant. We were lucky to see monkeys as well! We love the Filipino food they served, and the staff were very accommodating, too. We hope to be back here with other relatives.

Situated in El Nido, Lakwa Motel has a fitness centre, garden, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. All rooms at the motel are fitted with a seating area. This was an amazing trip, probably the best one we’ve had in the entire Philippines. The hotel is fantastic—super clean, with hot water, constant electricity, and WiFi everywhere (not just at the bar). And the owners and staff? Absolutely incredible. What’s great is that every guest gets a scooter to use during their stay, and the hotel’s location is perfect for all kinds of trips around the island. We originally planned to stay for 3 days, but we ended up staying for 7. There’s also a fantastic beach just 3 minutes away on foot and some excellent (!) restaurants, including a super cool vegan spot, so on lazy days, you don’t even need to go far. On top of that, it’s quiet—so quiet. The place is ideally located: just 15 minutes from the city center. And here’s the best part: every single day, the hotel serves free coffee at the bar, and it’s amazing!

Situated in El Nido, Island Lyfe Adventures Hotel features a bar and free WiFi. Featuring a garden, this 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. Definitely, the best accommodation I've been to in Palawan. Exceeded expectations. Everything very clean, comfortable and organised. Great Staff and very helpful owners. The level of accommodation is well above the Asian standard. I would definitely stay here again, it's a special place. The food from the restaurant accompanies the level of accommodation. Delicious food, very well presented and fresh. Thank you very much.
El Nido is truly an amazing place to visit. I suggest to do an island hopping as it takes you to different scenery and beaches (my favorite was the Big Lagoon). Also, if you want to get around the island there are several mode of transportation.
I’m in 2 minds about El Nido.. I loved the location & the fact that island hopping was so accessible there as well as other beaches (Vanilla & Lio). Unfortunately it has become a bit of a tourist trap with very little local Filipino culture. 95% of the restaurants were catered to Westeners (think pizza, burgers, pasta etc) and were overpriced. It was very hard to find Filipino food which I think is pretty sad. There was none of the charm of Port Barton or even Bohol which has still retained a feeling of the Phillipines despite being tourist locations. Lots of the restaurants we looked up had multiple reporting of food poisoning which made it difficult to find something suitable for our family of 5. We did however really enjoy Vanilla beach & Lio beach which had some affordable food & drink options along with their stunning views & swimmable waters. Overall a beautiful place, but I preferred Port Barton & wish we had spent more time there in comparison to El Nido. Island tours were similarly priced & more low key.
The nature is incredibly beautiful, just be careful with what you eat or drink. Better to buy only mineral water. And try to avoid to eat the food which is included in the island hopping for your safety.
El Nido has so many fun things to do, and we liked that while there were a plentitude of tourist options, we were not separated from local culture and activities that sometimes happens in other places. We were only there for four days, and we could have stayed another week. The beaches are beyond stunning, both the ones you can walk to and the ones that need a boat. The snorkeling was fantastic, the food options endless, and the vibe was chill and fun.
I really enjoyed town, but nacpan and duli area also nice places to stay! Lio is another nice spot to stay. Town is good if you like going out to eat, and see a lot of things But staying in lio, nacpan or duli is also nice if you want a more peaceful, quiet time. even sibaltan would be nice (check out the manta rays if you dive)
El Nido is a must. Leave full days for the island hopping tours. A B C D Zip line is a nice experience needs less than half a day. Canopy walk is Donald in a couple of hours. Best to have at least 3 full days at least
