Our stay at Florentina Homes was an absolute highlight of our honeymoon in Dumaguete. The place truly exceeded our expectations—it felt like something out of a fairytale, with its charming atmosphere and beautiful decor.
The front desk and staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, and they made our trip so much smoother with their helpful service. The property is conveniently located near the city center, making it easy to go shopping or explore the area.
We also really enjoyed the free access to the swimming pool, as well as the complimentary airport and port transfers. Another plus was being able to book tours directly through them—we arranged our trips to see the dolphins in Bais and the whale sharks, which was incredibly convenient.
We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit. Thank you once again to the entire team at Florentina Homes for making our honeymoon so special!

It is convenient to be able to cook and the apartment is located next to the city mall, Everything works as it should and the environment is quiet, like out in the countryside yet it is right in the middle of everything. I enjoy watching the farm animals going about their day. Good value and I recommend for anyone visiting Dumaguete.

Staff were very obliging happy to make me food not on the menu (I am a fussy eater).
We're very helpful with other problems I had unrelated to the hotel.
Bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.

Exceptional customer service! Kudos to the staff especially to the people on front desk.(all of them as in!!!). From the process of checking in to checking out, everything runs smoothly. They will easily accommodate all your inquiries. The ROOM, aside for being pretty it is also spacious and clean 😊. The free breakfast also taste good. Hopefully the road/pipe maintenance will finish soon. Highly recommended will definitely go back!😊

Dumaguete is like all the other centres, chaotic, polluted...
Dumaguete is like all the other centres, chaotic, polluted and without any sense of road rules . As with all of the Philippines there are annoying minor charges (take a motorcycle on a ferry and find out) and corruption . So far nothing unusual. Rizal boardwalk offers light entertainment.
Oh, don’t expect much from the tourist office. They are not much help.information of an exact nature is very hard to come by. The town is passable.

And what a gem it was.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food and coffee stalls, as well as the fruit and vegetable stalls.
Valencia has some eateries and some bars along the main road into Dumaguete.

No really a friendly place to live or visit...The airport is small and uncomfortable...It's all about tokens or tips for people who are not even helping you with your luggage and NO Grab car/taxi service there...No place to eat buffet restaurants and it's hard to find cook tilapia fish there in restaurants...

Lots of expats to talk too. Beautiful 17th century churches. Why Not is a great bar after 9pm, billiards, disco, 80's music. Boulevard is very nice to walk with live entertainment HayHay ,and chiccos were the 2 best restaurants, but plenty of other good ones. It's definitely worth staying a few days . Dauin is close by for diving and snorkeling. Valencia has very scenic waterfalls and mango ranch.
