Our stay at Florentina Homes was an absolute highlight of our honeymoon in Dumaguete. The place truly exceeded our expectations—it felt like something out of a fairytale, with its charming atmosphere and beautiful decor.
The front desk and staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, and they made our trip so much smoother with their helpful service. The property is conveniently located near the city center, making it easy to go shopping or explore the area.
We also really enjoyed the free access to the swimming pool, as well as the complimentary airport and port transfers. Another plus was being able to book tours directly through them—we arranged our trips to see the dolphins in Bais and the whale sharks, which was incredibly convenient.
We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit. Thank you once again to the entire team at Florentina Homes for making our honeymoon so special!

It is convenient to be able to cook and the apartment is located next to the city mall, Everything works as it should and the environment is quiet, like out in the countryside yet it is right in the middle of everything. I enjoy watching the farm animals going about their day. Good value and I recommend for anyone visiting Dumaguete.

This hotel was a real surprise when we checked in - the photos were nice at the time of booking but when we arrived, it was really fantastic! After arriving from a long day of travelling, we ate at the poolside hotel restaurant and bar which was completely delicious - and the drink recipes were very well thought out. We enjoyed the open-air spa next to our hut by getting a wonderful massage after our travelling and tourist activities, as well as the live music in the evening (one day a week at the time I was there). To include some more basic information, the hotel was impeccably clean, very communicative, had extremely helpful and friendly staff, and had unique and interesting decor throughout. I highly recommend booking a cabana room for a couple for a more unique experience!

Incredibly friendly staff members, cosy room, we were satisfied with everything. They were very accommodating and prepared breakfast for us very early just because we had plans early in the morning. Food was okay. There are cats that make that place feel more like home.

Dumaguete is like all the other centres, chaotic, polluted...
Dumaguete is like all the other centres, chaotic, polluted and without any sense of road rules . As with all of the Philippines there are annoying minor charges (take a motorcycle on a ferry and find out) and corruption . So far nothing unusual. Rizal boardwalk offers light entertainment.
Oh, don’t expect much from the tourist office. They are not much help.information of an exact nature is very hard to come by. The town is passable.

And what a gem it was.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food and coffee stalls, as well as the fruit and vegetable stalls.
Valencia has some eateries and some bars along the main road into Dumaguete.

No really a friendly place to live or visit...The airport is small and uncomfortable...It's all about tokens or tips for people who are not even helping you with your luggage and NO Grab car/taxi service there...No place to eat buffet restaurants and it's hard to find cook tilapia fish there in restaurants...

Lots of expats to talk too. Beautiful 17th century churches. Why Not is a great bar after 9pm, billiards, disco, 80's music. Boulevard is very nice to walk with live entertainment HayHay ,and chiccos were the 2 best restaurants, but plenty of other good ones. It's definitely worth staying a few days . Dauin is close by for diving and snorkeling. Valencia has very scenic waterfalls and mango ranch.
