A beautiful, sunny and spacious apartment with good hot showers and really comfortable beds.
The owners were very friendly and helpful and suggested a local fish and chip shop and sailing club for meals and drinks - both were excellent.

It was so cosy and comfortable. The bed was amazing had the best night sleep and Steph the host was so lovely and helpful and even let us park our car in the drive way.

Amazing accomodation with a great range of utilities. Particularly good oven and hotplate, and we were able to wash our clothes during our stay with the help of the clothesline. Bed and couch were comfy.

Would stay at this place again but they need to give better instructions to get in the gate as the code doesn’t work. Don’t tell you that! Also doesn’t tell you no visitors allowed on the site but says that on the info sheet inside. Like you go to see family but they can’t stop in for a cuppa - bit rough!

The location is lovely, the clean room very tastefully done with an excellent bathroom. Self serve breakfast is provided in the room so no need to pack up and then drive to get food. The check out time of 11am allows for a relaxing morning especially after a long drive like we had.
Kinloch is nearby on the lakeside with a general store. Worth a walk and a swim. The quiet side of Lake Taupo.

We had a specific purpose other than tourism for our stay. Being of an older generation we found Taupo rather busy and the traffic layout excessive, but then others no doubt find it quite acceptable.

The beach is nice but it is always super crowded like the Riveria or something. Very limited facilities in Kinloch with just one general store and a cafe both of which are always busy because of the beach crowds. If staying in Kinloch you need to bring food with you.

We visited Taupo for the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge. Our first time in Taupo and did not have enough time to visit all the beautiful places in and around Taupo. However, cycling around the lake gave us a great view of the place and it definitely worthwhile for anyone who loves nature. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful when we needed so directions. Jip, you should go there.
