What an awesome place to stay. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the bird life so cool, so many tuis & gannets, the stars amazing. The apartment had everything you could possibly need. So nice to be away from everything - no TV, no radio, no noise apart from birds & the occasional plane. We left so relaxed.

The accommodation is very well located. From the balcony, we have a breathtaking view of nature and the surrounding area. We went to see the sunrise, which was very convenient as the accommodation is less than 5 minutes from the beach. The house is spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. You quickly feel at home. The garden is beautiful and it's great fun to have breakfast in the sun on the balcony overlooking the sea.

Such a great place from which to explore Great Barrier Island. We were here 3 nights, excellent reception and welcome drink from Pete and a tour of the facilities. Cabin was perfect for our needs, with simple but effective cooking facilities, WiFi (which we didn’t expect), clean and tidy property but in surroundings that have to be seen. The plot has been manicured to a tee with a super layout and magnificent bay views. Walking distance to the Irish pub and store. If you are self drive then make sure it’s an all-terrain vehicle as the drive is steep!! Couldn’t ask for more.

Stunning location and views - peaceful setting with great bird life. Very comfortable, well appointed and beautifully decorated apartment. Neill and Michelle were fabulous - welcoming and generous hosts.

With a garden and a terrace, Glenfern Sanctuary is located in Port Fitzroy and provides free WiFi. If you would like to discover the area, hiking is possible in the surroundings.

Such an incredible accommodation, perfect and idyllic for a relaxing family holiday. The rooms were light, bright, comfortable with good amenities and amazing views. The grounds were wonderfully maintained with lots of space for children to play, and the staff were so kind and friendly.
