What can I say... We got an upgrade to a wonderful room, with the most comfortable beds ever. I Wish I Had these mattresses at home! I also loved the many pillows...
Everthing really clean, big bathroom and shower.
The hotel has a very relaxing athmosphere, we had a long haul flight the day after and got perfect sleep. The terminal and the bus stop are only a short walk away, 5 minutes or so. But not one little noise from outside, you don't hear a single plane!
I would also like to thank the staff for their kindness!!!

Close to airport but very quiet. Only over nighting as we flew the next day. Very modern and warm. Staff was excellent in accommodating a late check out.

We had planned to spend the night at a hotel as our flight to ChirstChurch was coming in late and this hotel offerred a free airport pick/drop.
The shuttle pickup was smooth when we reached ChristChurch quite late. We got a drop to the airport the next day and we could get a rental and get on with our SOuth Island road-trip.
The room was super clean and the beds were comfortable.

The service was excellent! My phone adapter was misplaced and the staff arranged drop off to a nearby shop for me. They were extremely kind and helpful! The rooms are spacious and clean too.

Christchurch International Airport (CHC) Information
Location and Transport
Christchurch International Airport is just over 7 miles (12 kilometres) from the city. Standard taxi fares range between NZD 45–65 and will get you to the city centre in about 20 minutes. The Purple Line and number 29 Metro Red buses run every half hour from about 06:00 until 23:00 (with fewer services on Sunday).
Nearby Hotels and Airport Facilities
There’s one hotel within the airport and a couple more located very close by. There are few more options in the nearby suburbs of Avonhead and Bishopdale, with many offering a shuttle service. Apart from shops and restaurants, there’s free WiFi in the airport, as well as the jam-packed TimeZone entertainment area with plenty of games and activities for kids.
Terminal Information
There’s just one terminal but it’s split into domestic and international. The airport is open 24 hours a day but it’s good to note that the domestic hall closes at 23:00.

Christchurch was amazing friendly people loads to do!
Christchurch was amazing friendly people loads to do! We ran out of time! Awesome how it has been rebuilt well done x
We went to the Novotel at the airport where you can have a meal and watch the planes come in.
The Airforce Museum is an absolute must an awesome collection of aircraft and stories. Wish we had more time to read them all.
The Botanical Gardens were beautiful.. it would be amazing to see more when things start blooming.
The museum was being renovated but we saw a beautiful collection of photographs that make you realise what a wonderful world we are in.

Ohoka is a small place with friendly folk and the area in which I stayed. It's peaceful countryside with the occasional hawk or falcon to watch. Local produce and craft are both good. It's a nice peaceful place.

Only a short visit here this trip. Explored the inner city area around the river and the market place was good for eating out. Took a short bus trip & thought it was great to be able to buy a paper ticket with cash on the bus.

The district is easy to travel in, with several villages offering shopping, food and drink plus a petrol Station. Some great cafes and small restaurants in each village. It is a district close to Christchurch and is a great option for a country stay.

This is a great location for somewhere to stay if leaving...
This is a great location for somewhere to stay if leaving Christchurch in the morning or if having arrived in Christchurch in the evening, but not wanting to stay in the city itself. It's about 15km out. Not a lot of eating choices in town - I couldn't eat at the only hotel because every table was in use and/or reserved (on a Wednesday evening) so had to go to the little strip of various takeaway places opposite, where there was plenty of choice

I lived in Christchurch twice before the earthquake.
I lived in Christchurch twice before the earthquake. This time I walked and used the excellent bus service. So many things to see. Great coffee shops. Excellent food. Very easy to access travel without a car. Stayed in Christchurch but had an historic train journey to Dunedin and an overnight stay in Akaroa. Walking always revealed surprises. New buildings and historic cottages helped me remember and add new experiences. Highly recommend the gondola ride. The staff and facilities at the new library were very helpful. The art museum (free) was worth visiting more than once.
