Guests staying at this apartment have access to a patio.... I couldn't even expect better acommodation, this apartment goes much more further then we expected. Possibility to check in any time, friendly staff, warm rooms, convinient beds and the view from the apartment is something I wish to view every day. It was just a few minutes from the airport. In the night it was quite and we didn't hear any noice from traffic. There wss kitchen, waschmachine and even dischwascher.

Tromso scenery is amazing.
Tromso scenery is amazing. We have been in summer and winter. So much to do. We hired a car the first time and drove around the many islands. This time we used public transport which is great. There are many hotels to choose from. Plenty of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops. Some tourist things are within walking distance, other things you will need to book a tour.

MAGIC PLACE we had snow a fantastic car a nice place fantastic host and great guides . a super supermarket with fresh fish and superb meat .. plenty of veg we saw the Aurora borealis twice, one even from the terrace at home.. the reindeers free and in with the SAMi people. we did few short drive around to see the fiord at day and night.. ( well we had 3 jh light a day we rest we had twice dinner out in Tromso and in Skogfiords we had super company for chasing the first night the l nordic lights called Wandering Owl ..all was magic .

The Håkøya Lodge has everything one needs for a cosy, quiet holiday in Tromsø. In the well-equipped kitchen one can make meals to be eaten in front of the gas fireplace, and it's in a good location to get to the town or go on day trips.

December was the perfect time to visit.
December was the perfect time to visit. Christmas decorations added to the beauty of the city, and the snow made it magical. It's a small city with all the sights I wanted to see, and excursion pick up points are between a 10-15 minutes walk from The Dock hotel. A walk across the bridge to the Arctic hotel and on to the cable car took about 40 minutes. The view from the mountain top over the city was spectacular - the wind was blowing quite strongly and made the 'feels like' temperature drop dramatically. It's very cold in the city (between -3 to -13), so thermal clothing and footwear are essential, especially on excursions either at sea or on land.

What an amazing place!
What an amazing place! We booked trips including the Sami culture experience, feeding reindeer, boat trip to see the Northern Lights and cross country skiing, all trips were very well organised and so easy to book and find meeting places. It was so easy to get around Tromsø, the buses are super easy to navigate, I would recommend downloading the Svipper app before you travel. Everyone was so friendly. I travelled with my 16 year old daughter and felt so safe the entire trip. The Christmas Market in Tromsø was wonderful with many local foods to try.
