Boasting a sauna, Blue House II at the end of the World is set in Mehamn. The property has mountain and garden views. The apartment is very clean and homy. We really enjoyed our stay here! A big thank to the owner and Yulia for responding to our last min requests so quickly and with patience:) Our ship arrived in the town at 1 am.. Even though, the check-in was smooth and the apartment is just 5 min walk from the port. One note is that the owner has The End Of The World I and II. I is downstairs with more space and two separate rooms and II is upstairs with two separate beds in the same space. Both are cozy, but we need more space so we moved to downstairs later. Please double check your needs before booking.

Facing the beachfront, Slettnes Fyr offers 3-star accommodation in Gamvik and features a garden, private beach area and shared lounge. This is without doubt the best hotel of my several weeks long trip to Norway and back again. I discovered it accidentally and at first just came to see the lighthouse and have a dinner. But spending some time there made me think that I actually want to return for a night at this place. And oh boy, it exceeded all my expectations! It was two orders of magnitude better than hotels twice the price. I'm not sure if I've ever met so friendly and helpful staff who really made the whole difference - it felt more like staying at a friend's place rather than at a hotel. The food was great, the bed - one of the best I've ever slept on. And it's a pity I had time only for one night, I already miss this place and want to come back. Oh, and of course - the location and the opportunity to climb up an operating lighthouse! Also, please, pretty please, make it possible to come there for the nothern lights!

The room had a superb view of the port and the beds were very comfortable. The two kitchens were very well equipped and there was a really nice living room. We really enjoyed our chat with the host who told us about the store and the town. And it is close to Slettnes Fyr. This was our first stay in Gamvik and we have already booked for next year.
