Almost everything is good, relatively spacious apartment, comfortable beds, very clean, pleasant design.
Snow Resort Kirkenes has a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Kirkenes. A sauna and a ski equipment rental service are available for guests.

The staff were incredible. The native Norwegians are such a beautiful people in every way, especially spiritually. There was also a healthy amount of Argentinians there, all of whom were also wonderful people. It was so nice to have such a mix of staff and every single one went above and beyond to make us comfortable and welcome.
I even forgot to ask about whether I could use a CPAP machine in the cold room and we could!! They had to get a power cable extension. When we booked none were available but apparently someone chose to change to a cabin. Apparently we were the first to ask to go from Cabin to cold room in winter.
We 100% recommend again.
Also the food was incredible

The staff was so nice that she offered me early check in as I arrived at the airport early in the morning. I saw northern lights just in the hotel during my staying at the hotel. So lucky. :-)

I loved this part of Norway most of all.
I loved this part of Norway most of all. The landscape is exquisite and I'd like to explore it in greater depth. We stayed only one night and went dog sledding. So much fun, and meeting the dogs was a highlight.

Small town with great history.
Small town with great history. It revolves around tourist, so thankful that the museum was open on Sunday. As I did not join tours, I find 3 days was more than enough. The tour agency for Russian border stated having tours at in the afternoons however did not approve my request and insist that I book a private tour or join the morning tour (together with the tourists from the cruises). I did not want as my mother just arrived from the cruise after 7 days, and she wants to rest first. I ended up booking a taxi and the price is the same. The taxi driver brought us to both Russian borders (old and new), let us spend time and help us take pictures. The price was standard (NOK1,600) for an hour. What is lacking is probably a tour guide to explain things. But that is OK.
Kirkenes has a great view but lack good viewing points (well, I did not find any...). I found a randomly shared viewing point up a hill which was good but not the best.
Must visits - Andersgrotta (Daily, 12.30pm tour, NOK300 per person), Borderland Museum, Russian Border, and see the pictures in town by Ellisif Wessel.

There is more to see than you think, particularly if you are...
There is more to see than you think, particularly if you are interested in history. We had a day to see the sites before taking the Hurtigruten Coastal Express to Bergen. We could have used a second day, or at least another half day.
You need to be fit and a good walker because it's easier than using the local public transport.
Things really worth seeing are the Borderland Museum, Savio Museum, Andersgrotta and Liberation Monument, the Russian Consult General Building and the protest opposite, statues, monuments and the Snowhotel. We had a nice meal at Surf and Turf.
