Set in large grounds by the dry Arebbusch River, Arebbusch Travel Lodge is 5 km from central Windhoek. There are outdoor pools with sun terraces, and free parking near the rooms. Excellent location to use as base location to attend meetings at the Mercure hotel that is a short taxi drive away. We stayed for 8 days and enjoyed the daily breakfast. Great to find many birds on the hotel premises.

Michelle is an exceptional host and the property is very spacious with every possible thing a guest would need being available, especially in terms of the kitchen and appliances, cutlery & crockery. A lot of unique touches make one's stay very comfortable - like providing laundry detergent and fabric softener, which most places don't provide, even though they offer a washing machine. It really is impractical for a traveler to be expected to have to go out and purchase laundry detergent for one or at most two loads of laundry, because it is often sold in 2kg or bigger packs....So what does one do with the leftovers?? So this was a pleasant thing to have included / available for my stay.

Very comfortable apartment fully stocked with everything you need for cooking, including a wood burning grill/braai on the spacious porch. Stayed for 3 days. The big upscale mall and restaurants are a short 700m walk in a very safe area. Airport is also not far. Never heard any noise from the roads or planes. perfect location to start your self-guided safari tour. Many of the rental companies will deliver the vehicle to you so this is a great place to start or end your holiday in Namibia. Bonnet and Eben were great attentive, helpful, and patient hosts. They even gave me a lift to the mall and provided me local knowledge of places to check out in Windhoek.
