Nice place. Comfortable. No big city rush, but many new shops & eateries. Good food, quite cheap. Friendly people. Got lots to explore, including the parks. Also not too far from Penang & Kedah, just nicely in between.

A grounded city and quiet at night. Suitable for those looking peaceful stay and easy to move around. To go to Penang Island, the bridge is 10 minutes away with RM5 plus toll fare. Far more better to take hotels in Butterworth and go to Penang Island

Great place to explore the old town as well as shopping for authentic foods, clothing and other Penang products. Plenty of authentic places to "taste" Penang - traditional restaurants, hawker (street food). Recommend hawker stalls next to Chowrasta, Keng Kwee Street.

Perai is an Underrated Land to Explore which is a another Option Place to Stay to avoid Massive Traffic in Penang Island. Hotels, Food, Fast Access to Exit the highway and the Shopping Malls are within 5-8mins drive. Obviously money worth it compared to spending so much in our accommodation on the Island.

Plenty of upmarket trendy cafes in the complex. Food court in nearby Lotus shopping mall. Good quality food and Juice bars.
Grab service is the option as public transport is almost a nonevent.
The cafe strip overlooking the Marina is about the place to be. Sams supermarket is something special.

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and the location was convenient for getting around.
What wasn’t the best:
We stayed in a triple room, and the bathroom only had a single sliding door, which offered very little privacy. This setup felt unsuitable for multiple guests and made the stay a bit uncomfortable.

Nice town.
Nice town. I studied at University Science Malaysia so always been on this side very often due to the ferry and bus service. A lot has changed in the past 20 years but still, some of the old sceneries and buildings were there such as the Convent School, The Hospital and the Indian temples.
