Aside from taking personal security seriously, the location seem safe, staff is willing to advise best options for food and moving around. The fact that they provide a mean for local transportation makes all the difference in the world. I parked my car and used their service. My experience was a safe trip but not trying to explore as other cities. As long as you take the usual precautions of a city tagged as insecure, you must remember that there are nice people all over the place and they want to make you feel at home. That is what I liked best. How people always had a smile and were willing to make you feel safe and comfortable. The issues I had at the hotel, were minimal and usually happens ( You don't want to be part of that statistic) but those issues did not last too long either before they got fixed.

My stay was very quiet, accommodating, and courteous. Management staff exhibited professionalism and housekeepers are friendly. The Pancake House across from The Motel 6 is fantastic. Many different choices of food there.
There are many different stores to visit in the area

I got charged twice.
I got charged twice. I paid my booking though bookin.com and I told the lady at check in. She told me that that was just holding a 25 dollar deposit and that I had to pay at the property. The next day I was double charged. Now I’m out of the country and i am having to struggle with seeing who is going to refund my money

I liked the food & the ppl at my Hotel & smokeshop I visited employees were nice there. But the ppl that live in laredo tx aren't so polite. The local police department should let travelers enjoy their Family Trips without feeling harassed when that family is not from around. Not a very FAMILY FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT FOR children. Too much swearing in Spanish from local ppl. The CRIME IN LDO TX IS CRAZY PPL STEAL ALOT & DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASES locals say the LPD the local police department DOESN'T DO MUCH FOR JUSTICE OR TO HELP THE COMMUNITY TO FEEL SAFE. The Food tastes delicious & prices are reasonable. We ate tacos, chicken from Pollo Feliz, went shopping @ HEB. Getting around Laredo is easy. After you put directions on your Google maps on your cellphone. Next time I would AVOID staying for LONGER TIME visiting that city.
