Very close to the airport so quick transfers. Nice pool and bar and the restaurant was very pleasant. Our room was a good size with a king sized bed and a huge bathroom.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! This place is super cute. And was ideal for us. Everything was super close by, from stores, to shops to restaurants. From the beginning, the hosts went above and beyond to make everything smooth and easy for us. They arranged a taxi, gave us clear and helpful instructions, and were always quick to respond to our questions. They were incredibly friendly and thoughtful throughout our stay. What really stood out was how flexible, kind and accommodating they were—they even helped us figure out a late check-out and what to do with our bags. It made our trip so much more relaxed and enjoyable. It really stood out. We've traveled quite a bit and have stayed in many places, but the experience with this host was truly exceptional. It’s rare to come across such thoughtful and genuinely caring hosts. Highly recommended!

The first night was noisy due to construction going on until midnight outside our room (and the room was bery small) , but they upgraded us to a quieter, larger room for the second night, and it was lovely.

An interesting place. Mostly pleasant people. Uneven pavements, loads of motorbikes parked make walking difficult too. Somewhat improved over the last few years. Currently (November 2025) many public facilities closed and sitting down anywhere is clearly not encouraged.

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there.
Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

It was a lovely island friendly people & I think I stayed in the best place for me on this island my host were fantastic, they could not of done more to make my stay any better than it already was 10/10 perfect 😍
I loved all the food I had @ Indian cafe,loved swimming @ the local beach, not bikini beach
One thing I really disliked was Moscow yeda they tried to double charge me on my credit card when I asked them about 6 of them just started laughing, eventually I got my money back & that was the only bad experience on the whole island.

I stayed in Male for one night due to my flight home being early the next morning. It was an experience to see the capital city, but if I could have stayed on the resort longer I would have preferred. Male is very hectic and quite dirty as a city. I did enjoy a good meal, which made the experience worth it. The hotel where I stayed was also central and provided excellent customer service (Beehive Premier). The food was from Seahouse.

Airport help desk doesn't know anything about Himmafushi. It was tough to manage a boat to Himmafushi from the airport. However, the beach was nice. I enjoyed the scene of small fishes near around the beach.

We only had 4 days and picked Huraa because it is close to the airport. A very bad choice. The island is absolutely not nice, full of trash, nothing is taken care of, even the bikini beach was a huge disappointment, dirty, broken sunbeds, only 6 umbrellas. No cafes, restaurants anywhere.
The only nice place on the entire island is the Pearl Sands. It is a hotel, but you can pay a daypass to use their beautiful private beach including a very a good lunch. That place saved our vacation.

Absolutely visit th main Island, there lots to visit and experience. Food and people were fantastic. Beaches and activities are also great. There many different boat trips and Island flights, although expensive worth exploring. Its a dry Island so be prepared that theres no alcohol, when were were at airport to fly to Male the duty free are selling you alcohol so if you arrive with bottles etc in hand or checked in luggage its confiscated.
