-Despite arriving late, they made it so easy to (i) find the apartment, and (ii) have somebody to welcome us and give us the keys.
- The place is walking distance from the airport but NOT noisy at all. A perfect place to stay.

Yassine and his family are perfect and extremely caring hosts!
The apartment is very cosy, with an enormous living room and very spacious bedrooms. All furnished in traditional Marrocan style.
We were welcomed at late night with chai and pastries. After a long flight we felt immediately welcome and at home.
The neighbourhood is safe and very silent. We enjoyed also the authentic local delicious food you can find nearby!
Thank you, you made our first night the best start of our travel and next time we will stay longer!

Host was very kind and met us late to show us up to the apartment. Lots of little restaurants and cafes around, we could even get something to eat quite late at night.
Also very quiet and felt very safe. It really was an easy 10-minute was from the airport!

Marrakech-Menara Airport (RAK) Information
Location and Transport
Marrakech-Menara Airport is set just over 6 miles (10 kilometres) from the centre of Marrakech and the best way to get to or from the city is by taxi. This will take about 20 minutes and cost around MAD 190, but it’s best to agree on a fare with your driver before you set off. The public bus 11 runs between the old town’s Jemaa el-Fnaa square and the airport every 20–30 minutes.
Nearby Hotels and Airport Facilities
Are you looking for a place to stay? Most hotels are found closer to the city, and you’ll be able to find accommodation with shuttle buses within 2–3 miles (3–4 kilometres) of the airport. Travellers can access WiFi for a fee and the terminals also host a range of restaurants and shops, as well as ATMs and currency exchange. The airport is known for its striking form that blends contemporary with traditional Moroccan design and geometric patterns.
Terminal Information
The airport has two terminals which are housed within the same building, so they’re easily accessed from one to the other. Low-cost airlines tend to fly out of Terminal B.

A beautiful vibrant city full of life. We loved the local cuisine and especially msemmen - the pancakes. The Jemaa el-Fna square is full of people throughout the whole day. Music, dancing, performances... The fresh juices are a must.

Avoid at all costs – Traumatizing experience and complicit staff
We were two girls staying at this hotel in April. On the second night, I was violently assaulted right in front of the hotel: a man on a scooter tried to snatch my bag and dragged me several meters. The assault was captured on the hotel’s security cameras.
Instead of supporting us, the hotel told us they knew the attacker’s identity through their “friends,” and then tried to force us to accept an apology by bringing the thief and his family into the hotel against our will. It was terrifying. I refused, despite pressure from the staff urging me not to file a police report.
When we left, they changed the taxi price at the last minute, and then falsely reported to Booking that we never showed up at the hotel – even though we paid in cash and have proof of our stay.
This hotel was not only irresponsible in the face of a serious assault but also tried to cover up the incident. This stay was a nightmare. I strongly advise against staying here, especially for women traveling alone or with friends.

Marrakech can feel chaotic at first, especially in the old town where you meet all kinds of street vendors and the usual small hustlers. But overall, both the city and the medina felt safe and surprisingly welcoming. The city goes quiet around midnight, which is great if you’re not into loud nightlife or drinking. There’s no special attitude toward non-locals — tourists are treated with calculated respect, and even the hustlers try to avoid real trouble. Reputation matters here.
The city is alive, real, and not pretending to be something it isn’t. It’s tourist-oriented, but locals actually live and work here, so you can fully experience Moroccan culture. The best food we had was fish — all the fancy spots failed to impress, while local places were the winners. We even took home a tea set after falling in love with their tea culture.
There’s plenty of trade, sometimes with confusing prices, and transport is the only thing that can really stress you out. If you rent a car, get full coverage — no question about it.

Highly recommend staying in this tranquil place outside the centre. Easy taxi into the medina. Anas is the kindest guy. The rooms are immaculate and beautiful. The spa around the corenr is also a great way to spend the day. We will be back.

I travelled solo, I am a 39year old female from Ireland. Yes I was nervous, but I never had any issues-everyone I met was very friendly and helpful. I even ended up having lunch with a local lady who is moving back from France, we had alot in common and she ended up showing me real Morocco for the weekend, and we will now be friends for life. I am so lucky and grateful I had such a wonderful experience.
