We heard this hotel was newly built, and we truly enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The big, comfy beds were a dream, and the staff’s generosity and warm smiles every time we walked in made us feel instantly welcome. The location is perfect — there’s a beautiful lake right next to the property, and it’s just a couple of minutes away from the park. The breakfast spread is absolutely to die for, with something delicious for everyone. Overall, we felt our money was very well spent at Waters Edge Hotel. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a wonderful setting.

Wow! We chose this place because it was close to the Immigration office and to the place we were going to work, and because the pictures looked good. I usually take the pictures on Booking with a pinch of salt but at Villa 53 the pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the place! It is all you see and more. We were literally welcomed with open arms as though we were old friends and not complete strangers. Sriyantha and Champi welcomed us into their palatial home with smiles and hugs and a delicious glass of ice cold juice. The rooms are incredibly spacious, with big comfy beds with thick duvets and soft pillows. The bathroom is huge with a walk in shower and a bathtub. The pool in the backyard is big enough to swim laps if you're so inclined, perfect temperature. We sat outside in the evening and enjoyed the beautiful garden, the birdsong and the soft perfume from the flowers. In the morning the ladies made us a wonderful breakfast of omelets and fruit, the first day and a Sri Lankan breakfast the second day. Both were great. The immigration office is a 5 minute walk from the Villa. Very convenient. Sriyanta drove us to a great restaurant in the evening and came an picked us up when we were done! Service above and beyond. We were sorry to have to leave and will definitely want to stay here again when we come back to Colombo. We arrived as strangers (not for long) and departed as (almost) family.

Amazing place. Peace and quiet, you can see a Buddhist stupa from the window. Wonderful cozy room with shower and toilet. On the second floor there is a very comfortable common lounge area for work or rest. Wonderful friendly owners. I highly recommend this place and I will gladly come back here!

Everything was perfect. The host was very kind and friendly and gave a tour of the place. She allowed to check-in and check-out at whatever time we preferred. The place itself was kept very clean and neat. The neighborhood isn’t always very busy and is quite peaceful. It was overall and amazing stay for the price and highly recommended!

It's clean, spaciou and very well maintained with a nice ambience. It is further quiet and peaceful for one to get a good night's sleep after a hectic outing. There 's a nice kitchen pantry and dining area with all the white wares and dinner wares. One can even pre-order breakfast or dinner in advance. The property manager and caretaker, Rajiv was exceptional with his attitude and service. Humble, proactive and eager to help you can always count on him. The place is just off the road easy to reach by foot. Had the opportunity to meet the owner of the property Jay on our last day. He was a very warm, friendly and joyous. Thanks Jay for allowing us to stay in your house and our deep regards to Rajiv for all his services.
