I reserved a room at this hotel for a client of mine who was transiting through Sri Lanka.
Despite my client arriving in the country at 5 am, they kindly accepted.
They extended the check-out time to 14:00, instead of noon! And with no additional fee!
One of the hotel staff was exceptionally kind and shared her WhatsApp with me, and made sure we could constantly keep in touch to arrange the stay for my client.

Despite my very late arrival, the owner of Lanka Bangla Inn personally welcomed me, ensuring a smooth check-in and taking the time to explain everything. Her kindness went beyond expectations—she even cooked a homemade dinner, and it was as good as your mama’s favorite food, filled with warmth and care. I truly wish I had the chance to stay longer in this lovely place, just 10 minutes from the airport, and spend more time with the wonderful lady owner and her gorgeous, fluffy white dog. Cosy charming place close to the airport, perfect to settle down after arrival or before departure. Hosts are lovely people who take care of everything and cook nice dinners. The pool is set in a lovely green garden, next to the river. It's quiet and comfy! You can easily visit Colombo from here. We would stay here again anytime!

What made the experience even more special were the two lovely elderly hosts such kind, gracious, and welcoming people. They made us feel right at home, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, and sharing little conversations that added a personal touch to the stay. It's rare to find such genuine hospitality. We are very grateful for the warmth and care they showed throughout our visit. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and heartwarming stay.

Katunayake is a convenient location for travelers, especially those flying in or out of Bandaranaike International Airport. It’s a busy area with easy access to transportation and essential services, making it ideal for short stays before or after a flight.
I stayed at Hello Airport Hotel during my time in Katunayake, and it was a great choice. The hotel is just a few minutes from the airport, which made it perfect for my early morning departure. The location couldn’t be better for transit passengers. The check-in was smooth, the staff were polite, and the room was clean and comfortable.
