The service from the staff was exceptional. They are very conscious of your needs and try their best to accommodate. Despite language barriers they still made efforts to understand and were very honest. You just need to be patient and have Google translate on.
Room was stocked with a variety of teas, coffee, bottled water and a kettle. Also other amenities like an iron, washing machine and even slippers! Fridge was also big enough for us to store leftovers. Our room also had a couch, which made unwinding in the evening very easy. Room was super clean, the staff work very hard clearly to keep the place tidy.
Biggest selling point is the rooms and the staff. The place seems to be run by some hard working ladies who are always available to help regardless of the hour.

The hotel is great! Very friendly staff, if you need a taxi they will call, need change money they are happy to help. Whatever advice guys were very nice and helpful. Very good restaurant with transitional Kazakh cuisine. They have an amazing spa in the hotel and very good gym.

Very helpful people all over Shymkent.
Very helpful people all over Shymkent. Everyone was helpful from people on the sidewalks to staff in the shops to bus drivers. It was such a welcome feeling I don't have words to express my experiences. I saw Kazakh people as a proud and honourable nation with love and respect for guests from other countries. Despite the language barrier Everyone went all the way to help and guide me wherever I went.
I loved it and hope all the other travellers enjoy Shymkent as well.

The city is quite beatiful and faithful to traditional architecture which I liked most. The streets were clean and people were friendly. However, it seems a bit out out-of-date in terms of serving at the department stores and bazaars.
