Our stay was absolutely exceptional. The staff were incredibly kind, genuinely welcoming, and very knowledgeable in what they were doing. The atmosphere throughout the lodge was warm, relaxed, and inviting.
The location was perfect, right by the river where we could clearly see hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. The tent (both the bedroom and bathroom!) was beautifully appointed: spacious and luxurious.
The food was great as well, all breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, was delicious and thoughtfully prepared.
Without a doubt, this was the best lodge we’ve stayed at during our travels across Africa, and we’ve visited many! We would gladly return to the Masai Mara just to experience this place again.

everything it’s absolutely beautiful, the hotel , location, staff are amazing, super friendly and nothing is a bother. we arrived late day one (our own fault) and on leaving they had a packed lunch ready for us to take as they said we had missed one of our lunches! if your looking for a authentic stay inside the Masai Mara park with the most fantastic setting wrapped around you then 100% recommend the Ashnil. we were a family of 5 - all adults and everyone adored it. lovely big swimming pool with sun lounge area ..

We had an absolutely beautiful week at Kobe Mara, in the Masai Mara Conservancy. We stayed in one of their four tents and had the most incredible wildlife roaming in front of our tent or at the water in front of the main house every single day.
Sammy, his right hand Jonathan and their team carried us on their hands and made sure our every need was met with a huge smile.
We went on games drives in the Masai Mara with rangers Moses & Alex. Their passion for nature and their culture was tangible in the experience and the knowledge they shared priceless.
The chef Julius did wonders in the kitchen & the team even surprised us with a cake and little celebration on our final evening.
The experiences we have had in the last week is something we will cherish forever. We cannot wait for our next visit.

Loved this camp! The owner Mostafa is very warm and welcoming and is an extremely talented photographer. Check out his Instagram in the photo. The area is like staying in a jungle with a family of baboons on the river that you can watch in the evening with a cold beer. At night you hear the sounds of the animals all around you and you are only minutes away from Talek gate to start your early morning game drive. All staff are amazing! From lovely Masai guards who are making sure you safe and are more than happy to talk about their culture, to super helpful and kind restaurant and cleaners. Highly recommended!

The location is perfect, right next to the Talek gate. You have a view on the Masaai Mara from your tent/bungalow! We were in a tent with our family of 5, incl 3 kids. We LOVED the place. Highly recommendable. The staff is simply great, they take care of you from the start until the end. Clean, spacious and comfortable tent/bungalow. The pictures dont do justice to the place.

Food is well presented and tasty however it is a bit salty.
Food is well presented and tasty however it is a bit salty. If there is tea pots, and some sweets the stay would be more relaxing. Breakfast and Lunch box we had for game drive was excellent with tasty Rosemary chicken roast. There you can find many animals during your stay in Kobe Mara, so you may feel as if you are staying in the park. What makes this camp outstanding is absolutely hospitality of the staffs. We definitely recommend this camp and we like to come back again soon.

The national park is really beautiful. went to safari for three days and could get almost all the Animals. Missed Migartion as the Zebras were reluctant to cross the river though they have gone down few times and came up again. our driver and vehicle were very good. He had taken extra efforts to show us all the animals in Vantage points. The double horned Rhino sighting was memorable. That was the only time when we spotted a Rhino in the whole 10 days trip to four national parks. The Animals were found to be very healthy. We were not lucky enough to spot any Chasing and hunting scenes.
The National Park roads are good though little dusty. Had packed lunch from the camp.

Great place, lots of animals, beautiful landscapes.
Great place, lots of animals, beautiful landscapes. Pity that the guides from some travel agencies are not respecting the large carnivores (lions, cheetah) and come too close. Also some guides are allowing tourists to sit on the roof of the jeep, which is forbidden as it is frightening animals.

Breathtaking experience. If you love nature and want to connect with it, this is the palace to visit.
Very easy to get around. And see lots of wild animals especially the lion which could be seen easily in this reserve and not seen easily in the other game parks.

Fig Tree safari camp is in an amazing location!
Fig Tree safari camp is in an amazing location! The entire camp is surrounded by a river that you look out at from your room, complete with hippos and other wildlife. The camp is very safe with Maasai men patrolling the park all night. They also walk you to your tent after dark. There is a beautiful pool, campfire, dining room. It’s worth the drive!
