Beautiful hotel, Delicious food, Very friendly and helpful staff. I missed the ferry from the first booking day and they helped me keep the reservation for the rest of the days in my stay. They offer a ride to and from the ferry port. Location is great. The views are stunning.

Excellent location. Short walk to the Ferry and short walk to the onsen up the hill. The tatami mats with futon cushion makes for a firm bed! This is exactly what one should expect from a traditional Japanese room. Not a negative, just good to understand beforehand for westerners.

Gave it a very different, unique experience and vibe. The home has many stories and collections from the numerous travels by the host, Yuki He speaks very good English and makes it easy to share travel notes. With his vast travel experience, he can relate to traveller's requirements and willing to assist in making our stay as enjoyable and less stressful as possible eg booking restaurant, car rental. Tremendous help as locals in Rishiri don't speak English. The location is great, within walking distance to onsen - a very good onsen which we enjoyed a lot, car rental and good restaurant - Bonten and convenience store. We are very glad we chose this place to stay on Rishiri Island. The experience made it more memorable by Yuki when he cooked us a fantastic dinner one evening. Yuki has many talents, and he is passionate about Rishiri and ensuring guests have a memorable experience.

They served a great diner (quantity and quality wise) even though I had not booked it in advance and even lent me a pair of shoes for the day, adapted to the abundant snow. The room and bathroom are simple but impeccably clean. If I go through Wakkanai again I will renew my stay there without hesitation.
