The Mike couple provided very considerate care. The room was very clean and comfortable, and all the daily necessities were complete. There were also artworks created by the homeowners themselves in the house. The place of residence is very close to the airport and also to the station, which is extremely convenient! I stayed here for 1 night for touring Automotive Engineering Exhibition at Aichi Sky Expo. The location was great for commuting the Expo, free schuttle bus was operated for the Chubu Airport Terminal and the Expo by Tokoname City. The place was also great, clean and cozy bed, friendly master and staff, and great lounge. It is highly recommended for sb who plans to join or tour the exhibition at Aichi Sky Expo.

Chubu Airport (which is also known as ‘Chubu Centrair International Airport’) is set on an island connected by a bridge, just over 3 miles (5 kilometres) from Tokoname. Nagoya is 22 miles (35 kilometres) to the north of the airport, and Meitetsu Railways runs high-speed trains between the city and the airport. Passing through Tokoname, the route takes around 30 minutes, running from around 05:00 until 23:00. A taxi to Nagoya will take about an hour and cost about JPY 14,200.

If you’re looking for a place to stay between connections, there are a couple of hotels within a minute’s walk of the airport. Other options can be found in nearby Tokoname. Many sightseeing attractions, like pottery walking path. Aeon shopping mall has shopping, restaurants, food court. Outside the mall were go-cart rides and kids activities center. Other attractions were boat racing and Costco Wholesale store next to Aeon mall. Some bus rides were free. Tokoname is also close to the International Airport.

The room was basic but clean and comfortable with good shower, all that we needed for a good night sleep. There were free coffee and tea provided at the reception area as in other hotels. Only a 5 minutes walk from the hotel to the Terminal 1 departure hall was incredible, can't think of a better option than staying here. Breakfast starts at 6am which is earlier than the few hotels we have stayed during the trip.

Suzuka is a little bit off the normal tourist route.
Suzuka is a little bit off the normal tourist route. It's nice to walk around neighborhoods and rice fields, have a night at the Aeon mall shopping, and enjoy a city amongst real Japanese families. Transportation around the city is easy to navigate with bus and trains.

The house is nice, just a little hard to find, because there are two big cars in front of the house, making me confused about it when I find it. The landlady provides a lot of snacks and drinks, all for free, which is great for the kids. All you need is in the house.

One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns. If you are into ceramics it's a brilliant place to visit. If you're not, it's a lovely, relaxed town with nice walks and good places to eat. Very close to Nagoya airport. There is a free shuttle bus into Tokoname or use the station. Home of the lucky waving cat - Maneki Neko!
