I had a wonderful stay here! The hosts—an elderly couple—are incredibly kind, cute, and friendly. They even prepared breakfast for me (seasonal ingredients, especially the seafood), and it was absolutely delicious. The location is in the outskirts of Matsuyama, just less than a 10-minute walk from Mitsu Station. Trust me, you won’t feel bored walking around the village—the surroundings are peaceful, charming, and full of character. The house itself is old, but that’s exactly what makes the stay special. You get to experience a true Japanese lifestyle. Despite its age, the place is clean, cozy, and gives you a sense of warmth and peace. I truly enjoyed my time here and would gladly come back again.

Katsuhiro's Ryokan is absolutely one of the nicest places I've been and nicest host I've met. The pictures speak for themselves absolutely gorgeous rooms with an Indonesian flair. Beautiful gardens with Koi. Katushiro was so gracious and took great care of myself and friends. Will definitely stay again.

The place was lovely. It was like stepping back in time. The host, Maiyu, and her husband were super friendly. They own a cafe downstairs where she serves very delicious traditional dessert. The town itself was lovely as well. It's traditional bedding (so futon on the floor) and even though there was no AC at night, the cross breeze from some of the open windows, as well as the fans, made the room surprisingly cool. No mosquitos either!

I will stay here again next time I come back to Ehime.
