Located in Matsuyama, 7.1 km from Matsuyama Station, ホテルファンタジアリゾート 松山 -Adult Only- provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. We rented 701 and it was a true VIP experience. All the amenities you can imagine at a love hotel. Our suite had an outdoor bathtub, a sauna, and everything else was top notch and new. It really gets you into the mood....it's going to be really hard to beat this experience for us in the few more love hotels we are staying at in Shikoku. We booked this out of necessity as we had a late change of plans and all normal hotels were sold out or super expensive. We got VIP experience for a price of a cheap business hotel in Matsuyama.

Located in Matsuyama, 1.5 km from Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine, Bakushuku Den Guest House Brew provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Charming guesthouse. Den and the rest of the staff are really lovely, friendly people. They even let me check in later than usual because my flight got delayed because of a typhoon. They left messages on signs for me every morning to wish me a good day. The guesthouse has a traditional Japanese guesthouse style, with some tatami rooms with futons and other ones with beds. But the guesthouse itself is well preserved, so it feels traditional but not old. They offer amenities such as face and body towel, toothpaste, face cleanser, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, and cotton swabs, apart from a kitchen with a fridge and utensils you can use to cook, and a washing machine as well. The guesthouse is located right above a brewery, but even though they play music, I didn't feel my room was noisy and I could rest well at night (and they close before midnight). Anyway, they leave earplugs and blindfolds in your room in case you need them. The place was clean and had some nice art. It's a 5-minute walk to Mitsu station, which takes you to the central area in less than 30 minutes. I can recommend it.

The breakfast, as others have said, is very exceptional (seafood based so not vegetarian). I guess the host was a chef or something of the sort for 30 years. The facilities were clean, and there were no problems. It was a convenient location for us because there were fireworks nearby on the night of our stay.

Located in Mitsuhama, 2.1 km from Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine, 三津ミーツ provides air-conditioned rooms and a shared lounge. Nice small well orgznized ryokan with tatami setup at the room. Nice quiet neighbourhood, with access to many nearby groceries like Lamu which operate 24hrs, and many other restaurants. Closer to the harbor seaside with short walking distance. The owner is really a nice lady which provided us lots of guidance to explore the nearby attraction places. Will certainly visit this place for a longer period in the near future!

Situated in Matsuyama, within 3.2 km of Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine and 4 km of Matsuyama Station, Hotel Fine Garden Matsuyama provides free WiFi. The room was spacious with a big bathroom. The hotel provides lots of toiletries to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast was delivered to the room in the morning.

Comprising an open-air bath and a garden, Kominka Mitsuhama Ryokan is a recently renovated accommodation in Matsuyama located close to Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine. This was a unique stay. The owner is an artist in his soul and has created an environment that envelopes you in a the essence of Japan. There are two Japanese gardens complete with Koi fish you are invited to feed. There is a large living area besides the large bedroom that is yours to enjoy. The property is in the a quiet neighborhood with local restaurants within 3 or 4 blocks. Across the street is a manga library that you can explore. It’s all so gentle and accessible. I highly recommend you find this to answer your question as to what is Japan without the hype! Enjoy!!

Set 2.1 km from Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine and 3.9 km from Taisanji Temple in Matsuyama, 旧鈴木邸 女性専用 offers accommodation with a kitchenette. The place was lovely. It was like stepping back in time. The host, Maiyu, and her husband were super friendly. They own a cafe downstairs where she serves very delicious traditional dessert. The town itself was lovely as well. It's traditional bedding (so futon on the floor) and even though there was no AC at night, the cross breeze from some of the open windows, as well as the fans, made the room surprisingly cool. No mosquitos either!

松山一棟貸し宿Tsuji is situated in Matsuyama, 1.6 km from Matsuyama Civic Center, 1.8 km from The Museum of Art, Ehime, and 2.1 km from Matsuyama castle.

Located just a 3-minute walk from JR Matsuyama Station, Hotel Aisul Matsuyama is a 10-minute tram ride from Matsuyama Castle. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Matsuyama Airport. Everything. It’s very clean and spacious enough. The check in and check out time is great too. It’s literally few minutes walk from Jr Matsuyama station. I loved turning about this hotel. I will stay here again next time I come back to Ehime.

Just a minute’s walk from JR Matsuyama Station, Terminal Hotel Matsuyama houses a restaurant and offers Western-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. Free bicycle rentals are provided. Fantastic choice at this price point. It's next to the train and bus terminal. It's clean, comfortable, and larger than many business hotels I've been to. I was here two nights to catch up on travel research. The Wifi was fast in my room, my desk was big enough for paperwork.
