I recently had the pleasure of staying at Yaso roof and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was shown to my room without any delay.
The roof itself was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. The owner and his brothers are very gentle and friendly.
One of the things I loved about this hostel was the sense of community and camaraderie that permeated throughout the entire establishment.

I stayed in this hotel twice during my travels and would choose it again. The staff (receptionists, cleaners, the staff at breakfast) and the location were superb, plus we had a nice view over the Roman Theatre. The room size was OK, it was clean and well-equipped, the bed was super comfy and the breakfast was tasty.
The taxi arrived on-time, the driver was skilled and chatty.

We couldn't rate this hotel high enough - the wonderful hosts make you feel truly at home straight away and can't do enough to help you. There is tea and coffee on tap, the breakfasts are delicious and you can use the kitchen. The location is also great - a short 10 min walk to downtown area with lots of shops and restaurants. Thank you so much for making our time in Amman so great!

Best hotel experience in jordan. Arrived at 2 am due to early flight, which was no problem. All the staff were kind and increadibly helpful. Rooms have recently been renovated and are nice too.

Go when weather is not forecast rain - it was pretty cold and miserable when it did rain - but it was only on 1 day and it was Mid November. The cultural sights are worth seeing - but we didn't get chance to go to Wadi Rum - which is a good one we heard. I would've loved to have seen Aqaba as well, (they should make that a Jordanese Sharm el Sheik). Flights are cheap enough - even Wizz Air was OK... Hotels - you can get decent priced ones - but recommend pick a location where there are pleanty of shops and restaurants etc. Taxis are fairly cheap - too Airport to Northern Amman 27 JOD (about £29.60). Oh - and dont think you're gonna lose weight - the food is amazing and they like their desserts - far too tempting!

Amman is just like any big city: crowded, heavy traffic, older downtown. I would recommend for shopping (best price for souvenirs; had I known, I wouldn’t have bought anything in Petra which was at least times more expensive than Amman). Also for a variety of restaurants and an interesting public market Al-Balad. If you don’t have time to go to Jerash, Amman has some interesting enough ruins like the Roman theatre, nymphoneum, and citadel.
